OKAY HERE ME OUT ON THIS ONE.
So basicially It will be like a fantasy type genre whic the plot will be kinda like shrek and fionas story.
basicially your LI is some type of creature e.g elf, alien,fairy ect…
And like everybody in the town/city hates them because they are “weird” and different (everyone else is human). And they treat them really badly.
You are just like your LI because you are also some creature thing (again not too sure yet).BUT you have the ability to hide your “odd” appearance.
and you also live in a village that is full of these creatures.
So when you hear about your LI and how they are being treated, you decide to go in a journey to find them and then take them back to your village (like shrek saving fiona and taking her to lord farquan) .But on the way you both fall for each other!!! (Again like shrek)
But your LI starts to doubt your feelings for them and that leads to an argument. And admidst it leads them to walk away and then they eventually get lost.You eventually find them and tell how much you care for them.
So thats what I have so far its pretty hectic but i just got really Excited and yeah 
OH AND YOU CAN MAYBE LIKE PLAY FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF BOTH CHARACTERS
AND YES, THERE WILL BE AN ANNOYIN SIDEKICK (LIKE DONKEY)
What do you people think? do you have any more suggestions to add to the story
