When it doesn’t flow it doesn’t make sense - the scenes aren’t connected to the previous scene. If you were to make it flow it would be following a character from one place to another or like a phone call etc. The MC could be worried about the friend, like the friend could be acting suspicious and the MC is catching on to the act.
