oop this was actually really hard lol
There is a way
“The streets are filled with ash. If you go out, there’s no telling if you’ll come back.” Said Cara.
My aunt went out, and never came back. Cara bitterly reminded herself.
“Chapter 13, my last day here. Ah last chapter, please let there be a 2nd book.”
I started to read, and read this:
“I saw my fate unravel, until… It can’t be,” said Cara, squinting. “I saw a girl, she seemed to be narrating my every move. Wait… Can you hear me?”
“There has to be a second book if there’s a new character?”
“You, the one up above!” Cara yelled.
“The sky?”
Cara looked up desperately. Confusion clouding her mind. “If you can hear me, send a message. Write a letter, anything!”
“This is getting a little weird, but maybe it’s the big bang at the end.”
“You, I’ve put the puzzle together. I live in a written world. Please help me!” Cara yelled.
“Maybe… Naw it’s just my imagination.”
“No, it’s not! I’m really here and-” Cara hadn’t had time to finish as a dark figure loomed over her.
“This is… No Cara are you okay?!”
“Honey, are you okay?” My mom yelled
“Umm, yeah mom. Thanks, sorry”
I fumbled around for my pencil.
Cara ran, as if her life depended on it. To be fair, it did. “Help me! My leg is hurt!”
Cara yelled, as the shadow gained on her.
“Where is the stupid pencil!” I yelled in frustration.
I finally grabbed my pencil and wrote: “The shadow was gone”
Cara at a dead end, turned around. To find nothing.
“Did I lose him?” Cara said mostly to herself.
“I did it.” I said wide eyed.
“You did it… You did it!” Cara rejoiced.
Cara then bent over in pain. She unwrapped her leg to find it stained red.
Cara looked up, then sat to tend her wound as much as possible.
“Maybe, I can fix this too?” I asked, more than stated.
“No. If Write too much our worlds could combine, I mean well… As far as I know they could.” Cara said.
“Oh, okay” I said mostly to myself. Then I decided to write:
“Cara then found a bandage next to her.”
Cara looked over to see a bandage.
“Thanks but, I can take care of myself. Sorry, earlier I was just… desperate.” Cara said.
“Fine, but…” I paused
“Yes?” Cara looked up and asked.
“What if you need help again” I asked.
“Umm, help me I guess” Cara said, returning to her wound.
There was a low sound in the background. Like an engine.
Cara looked up, with panic on her face.
“What!” I asked frantically.
Cara got up slowly, pain on her face. As she crept to the edge of the ally.
“Don’t make any noise” Cara barely whispered.
I nodded, not that Cara could see that as far as I knew. But whatever.
All of the sudden, chains wrapped around Cara. Not just any chains, but chains made of smoke.
As Cara looked to up the chain, to see where it led she couldn’t help but let out a defeated sigh.
Bikes made of smoke and flames, with shadowy figures.
“Do I help?” I whispered
“NO!” Cara yelled in frustration.
More chains wrapped around her. They soon started pulling her in.
“Cara please let me help!” I said frantically.
Cara struggled to get free.
I then wrote:
“The chains disappeared.”
The chains did disappear, but then reappeared within seconds.
I accidentally dropped my pencil. I reached down to get it, and of course hit my head.
As I silently cursed the table, I read:
Lava flowed freely now. Cara using her heels so she wouldn’t touch it. The plastic on her shoes melted slowly, as a blood curdling scream came from Cara.
“Cara!” I yelled as I wrote:
Cara disappeared.
“Ouch”
“What?” I said.
My eyes widened as I turned around.
