Am I the only one that feels this way? Sending an author fanmail and thinking they haven’t responded, when in reality, they have but you accidentally skipped over it? It’s really frustrating. I propose that we have a feature where they alert the reader when the author responds to their fan mail.
How would this benefit people you ask? Well:
It would save the time readers scroll through author’s thousands and thousands fan mail
It would make it easier to see if they responded to your fan mail yet
It would possibly stop threats readers give to authors when they don’t respond. When authors don’t respond to fanmail, the readers feel under appreciated, and feel they are too self absorbed. Having this feature will make it easier to see they care about their readers.
Please give this a thumbs up if you agree so this feature can get in the apps quicker! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Maybe it’s just me, but I would also like to see the fan mail with DATES on them.
Helps me to know how long ago the Question or Comment was referenced, since I’m usually late to the party when reading & catching up!
Once I wrote a looonngg comment telling the author how much I loved her story, only to find out that she had turned her fan mail off when I hit Submit.
I was devastated!
Oh snap I would’ve hated that. That’s an idea though that I’m going to start using for whatever fanmail I get! It just makes so much sense to put a date on the response. Thanks!
I support this so much! I can never be bothered scrolling through every message to try and find mine. This will be much easier now too with the new ‘feeds’ we are getting on the app, so we could get the notifications on the profile.
YES! I find it such a pain to scroll, scroll, scroll through the author’s fanmail (especially if they’re a big author) just to find the one I sent and see if they responded. I don’t know why this isn’t a feature yet.
