So in my story, I want to include a scene where one of my MC’s has a brutish nightmare/flashback of an event that happened in her past, but I’m kinda having some trouble with how to go about it. I just know that I want a bunch of different scenes and backgrounds to flash in relatively quickly, one right after the other, before finally ending on the image she last saw of the event. Is anyone willing to help me with this? 
Also, you don’t have to check this out (just warning you now, it has some relatively gruesome scenes) but this is the overall idea of what i was picturing, just with not as many scenes that are changing back and forth and with a pause on the last scene before waking up.
