I’ve made several posts (I think) about portal errors. It’s mostly about INK animations not working. Here’s what happened, I’m coding a scene and I want to add this animation take_item_grateful, and once I press Save and Preview, I get this message.
I have only 73 lines in the script, and this error comes up with other animations too. Can Episode fix this? It’s starting to get very annoying while coding. I get it, you don’t want to spend time updating Ink, I can respect that. But this? You are making it impossible to code. Many still enjoy this style, it’s sad that they won’t even try to fix it. And the animation catalogue is getting more and more limited because of these errors. I hope someone can read this and fix it.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work either. I’ve been having these errors for months, I tried everything imaginable to not get this message, because when it appears I can’t save what I’ve written.
Hey this is just another stupid error . For this I’d suggest pulling up a doc like good doc or something similar copying ur code from that episode . Put it completely over to ur document . Delete the code in ur episode save it like . Then put the code that u saved on ur doc back in ur script . That should work .
that happens to me too even if you send a ticket they wont fix it sadly they just dismissed my problem…
it usually occurs when there is an error in the script so maybe the animation isn’t working at the moment or something
or maybe you should try coding it differently so:
&ESPERANZA faces left and ESPERANZA is take_item_grateful
I tried your code, but doesn’t work either :^( I sent a ticket and they told me to delete the cache, history, browsing data, turning off my chrome extensions, sing out or using a different laptop. Like? Huh? It’s their problem not mine, a few months ago I had the same settings on my laptop and these errors didn’t show up! It’s upsetting.
This is a recurring issue that seems to pop up at the most inconvenient times (see: this thread). I usually fix it by copying my script somewhere else, saving, adding the copied script back, and saving again. I’ve had to do this upwards of 6 or 7 times at the most before it worked. It seems to be a waiting game ://
