Interesting first scenes

What was the best first scene you’ve ever seen?

My case

I recently started writing a story, and I’m pretty happy with my progress - I started two weeks ago and I almost finished chapter 1 (I’m usually super slow :joy:). But every time I get to coding, I feel like the readers will be so bored, it’s too slow and I’m worried about it.
How can I make the first scene interesting? How can I make the story more interesting? What do you guys think is the best method?

(If you could help me with my story, I’d DM you the preview link. It’s not that long (like 10 scenes so far?)

letting your reader to get clear what is really going on in your1st chapter is really imp. so I am telling u to just do whatever u r happy with but explain what is really going on in your story
bcz if u will not explain the story… then reader will get confused… and it can kick out a reader from the story

Sorry if it sounds rude tho…

It doesn’t :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I realised I didn’t explain why is my MC’s relationship bad with their partner. I imply that something happened, but I didn’t clear it up yet. I just don’t know yet if I should tell that the reader in the first chapter. But I’ll make sure of that, thank you! ^^

It’s good keeping a secret for future in a story! it makes a story more interesting and reader always wants to find out! :slightly_smiling_face:

just make sure… whatever u r showing reader is clear enough :slightly_smiling_face: to know that "yes there is a secret or anything…
… hope I am clear … :upside_down_face:

Personally, I think it’s best to imply, then slowly tell parts of it over time.

Depending on the type of story, I really like to see a bit of action at the very beginning just to get a sense of the author’s ideas and directing. I also don’t really like introductions or explanations right off the bat, but that’s just me.
