Would death be considered a “mature theme”? There won’t be any dead bodies or anything but people will die and characters will talk about it. Like spiking someone’s drink, cat crashes, etc.

Your story doesn’t sound mature. As long as your story is not describing the death and drugs in a graphic way you should be fine.

It really depends on how death is portrayed in the story! I mean Bambi has a big death and that’s not mature

so there will be this one girl who’s spiked a guy’s drink before and killed him and she’ll threaten to hurt/kill someone else, but there won’t be any animating of it. people will just discuss it. someone else will also get in a car crash, once again, people will only talk about it. I’ve looked over the guidelines and I’m DEFINITELY not promoting death in any way. so those are my examples. I’m just not sure if I should make a “mature themes” splash. thanks for helping me out, everyone!

I have seen quite a few stories with spiking drinks,some of them by some girls that eere jealous,some boys that wanted to take advantage of someone.As long as you dont explain it throughly i dont think there will be a problem

It depends on how death is portrayed in your story. If a character dies from a sickness or of natural causes, I don’t think death is mature theme in that manner. However, if a character dies from someone shooting them or stabbing them, then death is mature theme in that manner.

well, someone will die in a car crash… but it’ll be accidental. and then for the spiking drinks one, it’ll be on purpose…

Even if it isn’t I would put up a mature warning thingy or whatever just to be safe. shrugs Ya know what I mean?

if it’s violently shown then probably. usually though, it’s not considering it’s a normal part of everyones life.
