Is it just me or, when you’re searching for a story in the updated app in the genre section, u can find so many stories with covers that are commissioned, and like very artic, but not seeing so many edited covers in the genre, depends on what genre you pick (Except Horror genre, I’m seeing well-edited covers! Nice!). I’m not talking about all user stories, I’m talking about the ones in the genre section. 0.0 Like the whole section is full of commissioned/artic covers. Wow. 0.0. Y’all are really talented.

I am a bit confused…. What do you mean when you were talking about people that commissioned a cover “Wow you are so talented” ?

I think that the “edited cover” era kinda died out with INK

Some people use their own art for their covers, and others are commissioned by different artists, so I’m complimenting the commissioned/artist for their art covers.

I can agree on that too, there were so many edited INK covers too, but yeah kinda died since Limelight took over, but hey there are still some good INK edited covers out there!

Yh! But also have you all notice pe that soooo many “comedy” and “fantasy” covers are just purely the same as romance? Like cmon, pls advertise ur genre (is it just me but some covers I feel aren’t really appropriate? Like especially in romance 
)

Hah, edited covers had always been viewed to be inferior than art covers. It’s nice to see an artist’s artwork finding a foothold in this place, but it really builds this stigma that edited cover = bad. I know because I used to be one of those readers. I just don’t believe that edited cover stories are great. That’s until I started reviewing stories for some newer authors, and truly realize what true potential actually looks like.
And the story itself… Some had the best arts but oh gosh, it’s such a pain to read.

honestly? i actually like edited covers better. i just think they show off a creator’s directing talent more, and i feel like it’s a lot cooler to see the characters that will be in the story doing something interesting than a drawing (if that makes sense haha 
)
