Is it legal to use quotes? Is it okay to just make up a quote yourself?
I think so.
I’m not quite sure what you mean. Anything you write is a quote by you. As long as you don’t falsely attribute your words to a real person it’s fine.
I mean that is it okay to have a quote by yourself, but now yeah, I’m guessing it should be ok.
what do you mean by quotes. its not even against the rules to use real quotes
its your story of course you are allowed to write what you want. you wrote it, I can’t belive you even think you have to ask.
do you mean your gonna make up a famous person and say they said it, or pretend this famouse person said,
No, I just really wanted to know if we could use quotes by ourselves.
And if we could use quotes by people like William Shakespeare.
No.
This isn’t against the rules… so do whatever you want?
OK, thank you. This is exactly what I wanted to know.
I am going to put a quote by Shakespeare in my story (crediting him of course) so, all I wanted to know was if quotes were legal for use corresponding to my topic’s title.
Yes, that’s fine. Shakespeare’s works are in the public domain anyways
