I think it’s worth a shot. I believe some people would really like that opportunity, however, I don’t necessarily see myself choosing it, but it might be really valuable to others

For me it really depends on the situation where he is going
You won’t really know the outcome until you have done it. If you, as an author, feel like it’s worth putting gem choices in your story, do it! Some people will get upset and some won’t but that’s honestly for anything nowadays. We all have different preferences on what we would spend gems for.
Personally, if I had the gems, I would spend it. I’ve always wanted to pick the gem choices in stories but I just never have enough gems lol.
