You guys might think I’m overreacting, but for real. This app is sooo female-dominated, and the company heavily markets itself towards teenage girls. To see you dudes on here despite 98% of the stories being about a female MC falling for a guy, is great. I, as a writer myself, promise to make my next story more gender-inclusive; AKA providing you a choice to play as a male MC.

Although I believe most guys to be actually girls behind screen, (it happened before) it is very interesting that there are people who read stories when most MCs are female.
I think one of my favorite fanmails was from a dude thanking me for writing a story with a male MC

Yeah, I love to see stories from a guy’s perspective. But, for me personally, Episode and in general as well, I guess I just prefer stories told from a girl’s perspective. I can appreciate a good story from a guy’s perspective, and love to see this on Episode. 
I too prefer stories made for girls but i like the fact that some people give you the option to choose, IBonus points for letting you choose your sexuality
Yeah, me too! I love it when they give the different options, because, despite my taste in stories, sometimes I choose the other option, to get a feel for a new perspective
I desperately wish more guys would write and read on Episode. I could just imagine the different and amazing narratives that could be created if Episode would advertise to them as much as they do with females.

If I had any idea how the story maker mechanics worked on here I’d take a crack at writing a story.

Maybe you should learn the basics from youtube and just make one for fun, as you go on writing you learn more and your work gets better over time
YouTube to get you started that is what I did. Then ask there are a lot of nice wonderful people on forums that would be more than happy to help you out.
But as to the topic, yes I agree I have read a story forever ago by a guy, his wife was writing and he wanted to do one also so be did and it was a nice change of past because most men see and tell things from a different perspective than a woman. I hope as time goes one more guy will write, my brother reads a lot of the stories on here he is a bookworm and he loves reading any form of writing and is a big fan of episode.

There would be more guys if Episode stopped limiting itself to one specific demographic. I’m here because it’s a unique storytelling platform, and I think that fact alone could draw more guys to the community if Episode didn’t try so hard to make the app seem like it’s “for girls”.
That being said, I don’t mind romancing other guys in stories as long as they’re well-written. It’s the “this girl is you” thing that’s a bit awkward because… no, she obviously isn’t. I’m cool with a female MC, but she’s not me.
