i’m pretty sure some authors will get too far but I hope they will create some decent guidelines.
yeah
ah it’s just an overlay… thought they actually created it
Mine won’t be
I’m just going to add all my f-words back in and call it mature and that’s all you will get from me
same here!
I thrive for all the f bombs. I’ll be up in there too. Calling all my characters b*tches
Well, this looks like a wild time.
Some kids don’t need episode to be introduced to BDSM. I’ve been into it since I was thirteen years old, and I’m an adult now. There were already tons of shitty stories about sex (even without showing it) or toxic relationship on the older app, as well as episode originals… (I think I don’t have to explain there😅). But really I’m excited about this app if it give us the opportunity to have more liberty to write stories about mature themes (non sex related ) without being banned. We know, and it’s common sense that they’ll be a lot of shitty story about sex, mafia leader and all that kind of crap, but like in the other app we don’t have to actually read it so that’s fine.
I really hope it permit us to write in others genre too
Are those actually real?
Seriously Episode?
So basically Ivy is just Episode’s app to share the Episode Featured stories (added with content that would have gotten critised severely if they had just put it into the normal Episode app).
They’re relying on shock to get more people to download the app and to talk about it. They did it with Episode’s ads and they’re doing it with Ivy’s description.
I just hope that authors will know more than that and that the app will be used for more stories other than soft p*rn
To be frank, there’s only 7 featured stories on the app
Keep in mind that the app is in beta testing, I hope Episode explains to us what this app is and will we be able to make stories for the app should the app be a permanent addition
Also I’m curious so if anyone have screen shot of it, please feel free to share it

That’s what I’m relying on! Same thing for the genre issues too, even if it’s romance only, it doesn’t mean we can’t just do anything about it. I mean… Fatal Attraction is both thriller and erotica, so it’s never impossible
Personally, I don’t have a problem with an adult app and would probably write on myself because there are fewer restraints and arbitrary rules with vague guidelines.
However, my major concern is the predatory and inappropriate behavior the company sometimes shows when it comes to mature themes and teens.
In My Bed has no business on either app. It’s a highly sexual story for teens and is inappropriate by nature. It’s immature, goofy, sloppily written, and would only really appeal to a younger crowd. TW: sexual assault. There’s also a joke in there where the popular mean girl thinks she slept with of the MC’s love interests while she was drunk (Or somebody else- I don’t remember) and was perfectly fine with it and even bragging, but neither one of them admitted to it. She asks well, who did I sleep with, and they show the nerd smoking a cigarette and winking into the camera. There are just sooooo many things wrong there. I just don’t understand what the obsession is with that poorly written mess of a story, but it needs to go.
I’m also concerned about the community itself. There are far too many teens under 18 and this community is so close knit, they’re going to find a way to get that content.
If Episode had started out as a mature app and had targeted an older audience from day one, this wouldn’t be as much of an issue. But they’ve been building a young audience for years, and let’s be honest- because of the vague guidelines and restrictive writing, Episode is going to wind down as soon as Ivy is released to the general public because a lot of people of age are going to switch over (I know I’ll be switching over because I don’t enjoy writing while trying to understand vague and arbitrary guidelines). And younger members of the community are going to find a way over there. We’ve all been young- we know how enticing and appealing it is to get access to things we know we’re restricted from. And the more we fuss about it, the more resolved a lot will be to gain access.
I just don’t think this will go well because they’ve shown continuous poor judgment over the years, and something like this needs to be done with wisdom. Especially since they have a younger audience already. I hope they at least aren’t planning anymore originals like In My Bed with that team of writers because ew and yikes.
HA HA
lmao
take down a handsome mafia boss
I cannot, why would you call someone you are going to eliminate dreamy? Oh my

True. Maybe we’re looking too much into this. The app is still in beta, it’ll most probably change and we still need to hear Episode’s side.
I just hope that it’ll be clear that romanticizing sexual assault won’t be allowed, it happened on Episode even if it had stricter guidelines, I don’t want to think about what will happen if they’ll have more freedom
Plus it’s hypocrisies at is finest. Episode is making this app because, us, the community asked for it. And now people are making a fuss about it and screaming at scandals for it being too mature… I swear…
Ok so I want to the website listed on the description and the first terms of service is that you agree that you are 18 or older
https://home.getivyapp.com
Also in the ToS it states you or others can create, submit
They also have any email
tos@getivyapp.com
I hope people don’t take this as sign that rape and non consent can be romanticized because no matter the age, mature or not, that should never be the case. I know romance would probably be the main focus but mature doesn’t only mean sex, sex and more sex so I hope they do also write other things as well.
