So, fun fact, they have a story called ‘The Mute Mistress’ and the MC cannot speak at all which she stated at the beginning of the chapter when the housemaid asked by nodding.
Here is where this scares me. You start to have an affair with your boss, clearly from the title and picture. So, how the hell is she supposed to consent??? By writing on a piece a paper saying she wants to have sex. I’m really disappointed in episode. This is a disaster

This website is mainly ToS and copyright info, because it is still in beta Episode may just be focusing on bug test and other stuff and are putting transferring stories on hold for now.
Here is my thing, on the whole, it’s just for porn stories In My Bed was a beta for My First Everything and Red Hot Love is just Love On Fire.
I can’t fault Episodes for using romantic stories on the beta, sex sells, just look at the ads we get for Episode, but I know that there will be more genres and we don’t have to read the softcore stories, especially when they will enable transferring and writing our own stories. 17+ is not just about sex, it is about being able to write stories that deal with sensitive issues and being able to include blood, violence, and gore without watering down the content to make it PG-13 friendly.
Anyway, until Episodes themselves tell us about the app, all we are doing is speculating.

I had started writing a book a few years back that was set in the 1800s. It was fairly mild compared to some of the romance novels I’ve read but, when delving into the MCs backstory, she’d been the victim of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of her “father” which is something you just can’t go into detail about on Episode. Maybe it will give authors the opportunity to give the audience that gasp factor instead of everything being about sex.

I didn’t read the story to know what’s about but mute people can definitely consent. They use sign language and they can shake their head or push a person off to deny something.
But again, that’s Episode so I would be curious to see how they did that
