Being an author means facing a lot of problems, such as problems with the plot, characters or interacting with readers, so I wonder how would you answer these questions
There are usually many characters in the plot but are you willing to kill the main character or other characters that influence the story in your plot?
Creating a character that is loved by many readers is a success of the author but in your plot, an event happened unfortunately made their favourite character dead. Readers were very sad and expressed their sadness through comments maybe even mean comments.
So how will you respond to comments, comfort those readers? and how will you respond to mean comments?
Thank you for answering, I believe you are a very talented author

I don’t think that I would be willing to kill my MC (main characters), but maybe someone that is close to the MC, like if there around there parents a lot. Or maybe there sibling or their bestfriend.

Um I’m emotionally attached to my MC so I couldn’t kill her even if I wanted to but yea her parents are dead…

I haven’t nessasarly published any of my work so I am unsure about comments.
When writing, I have on set character that something may happen to, but when writing I may change it. I have an outline of the first few chapters, so I can see where I want it to go. I don’t really go for parents or bestfriends, I might go with something like a side charaters relationship that would make the side charater hate the MC.
There is this extremly well written book called ‘They Both Die at the End’ by Andrew Silva I believe, and I sorta has to do with the first question.

Depending on how their death would impact the story I think I would! It could be a good part in the story or a good part of the plot.

Um… yeah so, I did kill of my MC… guilty…
But I think that I gave them a happy resolution, and one last appearance with the LI, which helped considerably.

There is going to be a new character (I am starting new season) that is important for the MC and I plan to kill her/him off. But not the main character. So yes. And I already have done it once in the last few episodes. It was an important person for the MC.
Life isn’t a fairy tale and unfortunately, bad things like this happen. Plus it’s important for the future
I won’t.

In my other story that I’m taking a break from, I originally meant to kill the sister who was super close w/ the MC, but dang it I just couldn’t. So I gave her a disease instead.

I haven’t published a story on the app yet but I can kill the MC in my story. It depends on the story though and the impact her death will have. The only time I have thought of killing my MC was in a story in medieval setting.

I think it was a right decision.
If I had to kill my mc to solve the problem in story, then I would.

I think kill a certain character will also play a very important part in the plot.
Btw I totally agree with how you respond to comments and don’t care about mean comments

Sometimes it is very hard for us to kill a character.

Yeah… In my story, the LI was hurt badly in the final battle, and the MC sacrificed herself at the resolution so that he could live, especially since the MC was a danger not only to herself, but to everyone else.

Ik. I just got to attached. Plus she was the MC’s only family, so I just couldn’t kill her
