Learn How To Make Your Own Backgrounds

Hey guys. If you want to learn how to make your own backgrounds, this thread is for you.

  1. Find a editing software or website.

I use Photoshop Cs6 for my backgrounds. You can use photoshop, picmonkey as well which is a wedsite, and also Pixaby which is also a website to get background without making any.

  1. Png Images

You need to get png images to make your background. To get png images you can go on Google, and Kisspng.com, I think if that is the name.

  1. Simple Image Resizer

There are a lot of resizing images websites, but simpleimageresizer.com is what I use to resize backgrounds.

If anyone knows any other:

Websites, software, resizing imaging websites, and getting pngs, you can comment below.

I WILL BE MAKING A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE YOUR BACKGROUNDS USING PHOTOSHOP CS6 VERY SOON! BE ON THE LOOK OUT!!

I would refrain using images from google and KissPNG unless you are absolutely certain that the images are royalty free. Using copyrighted images for commercial use may get you into legal trouble.

Moved to Art Resources since this is about making backgrounds. Make sure to check out our Forum Tutorial for more info about where to correctly create topics, and feel to ask me if there are any questions.

Would you also teach us how to make backgrounds using episode assets?

Thanks. I was a bit confused on where to put it lol

I am certain that it is royalty free. I’ve seen someone did a tutorial on youtube using one of a png image. It was no problem at all.

Im only using 1 png for this tutorial. It shouldnt be a problem. Plus authors are using png images for overlays, etc.

by “episode assets” what do you mean by that?

Just because you see someone else do it doesn’t mean that everybody else should, but as long as you are certain and that the image is available for commercial use.

Like assets from Episode Backgrounds…?

Hm…:thinking::thinking::thinking::thinking:

Ok.

Yh.

Hello! These are great tips, and I love your backgrounds. The only thing is that I do not believe images from kisspng are commercial free. It may be royalty free, but that means a different thing entirely. I would recommend either https://www.pexels.com/ or https://pixabay.com/ for finding CC0 images/pngs, they have both been very reliable in my experience. Also here is a website explaining the use of CC0 images https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/public-domain/cc0/. I’m really not trying to lecture you or anything, I just think you have a lot of talent (much more than me lol) and you are totally on the right track with this tutorial. Keep up the great work!
