I’m glad you read and enjoyed reading Clue: The devil is in the details.
I got really disappointed when the Clue contest winners were announced and I wasn’t one of them. Nevertheless, I was really happy for the winners and I celebrated their achievement. Although my story had a little over a hundred reads at the time, I still decided to continue because I was really enjoying the plot and writing the story made me happy.
Honestly, it’s very frustrating when you put so much effort into your stories and you think no one at all has recognized your hard work. But it is refreshing to know that various opportunities are created for new authors to enable them to also step into the spotlight.
This is one advice I keep giving myself and I’d like to give to all new authors: no matter how much you think you are not being noticed for your hard work and talent, you always need to stay positive and always come up with new ways of improving the quality of your content. Not everyone becomes famous immediately. It might even take 5 years before an author is featured or recognized for their work. So be patient, your time will come!
