I’ve been slowly reading each story on the shelf and so far I am enjoying them all. So needless to say I’m proud of everyone who’s made it on the shelf and who will be on the next shelf. These stories weren’t chosen simply based on “black authors” they were chosen because the staff at Episode felt they have something that stands out. I’m sure they’ve looked at many other stories.
And I for one am proud to have my story be represented during Black History Month. With so much history behind what people have went through, this small representation somehow makes me feel like I am contributing.
Well, either way, congrats to everyone who were selected. Be proud no matter what negative feedback or attitude come your way.

well… Let me drop this. I am just confused over what these arguments are all about. Been featured and not featured, been featured once or twice, please all these arguments aren’t called for… honestly, I understood everyone’s point of view and yeah, we are all right in our own perspective, no one is wrong. I think at some point we all have to speak our minds but all the same, we shouldn’t blame anyone. The episode team are really trying and so are we the authors. I only believe in turns. In life, are many stages, more like a staircase as we climb each step in moving forward. Everyone will get there but just at your own time. I know sometimes, it’s really hard to cope seeing as our expectations aren’t coming forth and I totally understand but sometimes, lets learn to accept things the way it comes. Let’s embrace them and also learn to not expect too much because when we get to expect too much, we tend to get disappointed most times. We seem to be expecting so much from episode, but the fact still remains that, they can’t please everyone or meet up everyone’s expectations. I got featured today without even giving a second thought about it.
I wasn’t expecting too much after my story got reviewed by episode, I was like “this is just ok for me, for the fact my story is now reviewed and now appears on the app, I am ok” that was actually my mindset but to my greatest surprise, the shelf happened. All the same if it were possible for episode to feature everyone’s story, believe me they will because everyone deserves it. Yeah. Good story or not, well directed or not, everybody deserves to be appreciated and recognized cause it isn’t easy at all but coming to face the reality, it is impossible and that is why episode is doing it the way they feel is best for them and ok with them to cope with. Remember they are also humans, they are only doing the best of their ability and that is why they also welcome your suggestions at anytime in other to make the app more better and accommodating but not this way you guys are ranting about it here. All the same I only wish nothing but the best for us all in this community. Let’s continue to support each other as we always do please.

I just finished wrong from right and lost summer love . Sadly it’s just those 2 I’ve been able to catch up with for now but I am definitely getting to all the stories up there

I’m just excited about what the second shelf will bring. There are still very talented black authors who have yet to be discovered and showcased in the community. That’s all that matters at this point. There’s still room for more black authors to be featured and put in the spotlight; that’s the good part in all of this

This is such a well-written drama with a lot of twists, great characters and a very clever plot. The more I read, the more excited I was, and I really mean it, because after a while I just couldn’t put it down, and I’m pretty sure I was screaming at the end of episode 10. I can’t wait for the update, which I’m pretty sure is coming soon 
Out of My Element is the next story I’m going to read, because it’s been on my reading list for months. On a reading list to which I keep adding new stories

I’ve also read broken and started coming of age and I like those too, but I need to finish them. I think I’m gonna read or try to read majority of the stories on this weeks shelf as they all seem really interesting.
I didn’t say anything but I did read some of the stories on the previous week and the ones I read I really enjoyed and is patiently waiting for new episodes.
