thanks so much x
What is your story called?
Challenge Accepted.
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Comedy. I guess because it’s funny? (What an idiot question @Annieways)
What inspired you to write it?
Superhero series and movies. The story was written for the H&V contest.
Why do you think it’s different from the average cliche in the trending section?
Because it is actually making fun of them.
Who is your target audience?
Anyone (13+) who is in the mood to read something weird with a lot of stupid jokes.
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
I don’t know, but none of the above
I think I have some interesting characters, but they haven’t gone through much character development so far. However, there is some plot twist coming up in which they all will be affected.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Directing, obviously.
Who is your favourite character and why?
Nathan, because he is my first male MC and also the victim of my attempt to find the correct balance between a normal person and a complete idiot.
Awesome idea for a thread!
What is your story called?
• Breach of Contract
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
• You can find my story in the action genre. I feel that it fits this genre the best, because it’s about a young woman who is fixated on revenge, and becomes an assassin.
What inspired you to write it?
• This story was inspired by a dream I had years ago.
Why do you think it’s different from the average cliche in the trending section?
• Not about being in a gang, or “pregnant by the …”, the bad boy next door, or any other cliche that you can think of. This story is one of a kind.
Who is your target audience?
• This story is for more mature readers that don’t mind stories that aren’t fixated around romance. There is also no CC, but due to the MC being an assassin, there are times where she needs to change her appearance, so you will be able to change her look temporarily.
What are the story’s strengths?(unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
• unique plot- mix of action, drama, and mystery
• character development- you will see how the MC develops from episode to episode.
• choices matter- choices will effect the MC relationship with other characters
• advances directing- advanced zooms, spot directing, and overlays are used
Anything you are planning to improve?
• I may go back to check for any grammatical mistakes, but I have no plans as of yet.
Who is your favourite character and why?
• I’d have to say the MC due to everything that she’s been through (and will go through).

This is my new cover that’s awaiting approval
I like this thread. I’ve found myself a good one.
What is your story called?
Blind Starlight.
What is the genre?
Fantasy. My story takes place in a world completely seperate of reality, but maybe not so far from the future.
What inspired you to write it?
Hmm… I guess I really just wanted to create a story where the MC could be lost in an entirely different world, where they didn’t have to worry about the struggles of an everyday life.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
It doesn’t really include any of the mainstream cliches you see in Episode (Pregnancies, bad boy, makeover… etc) I’d like to believe my story has it’s own originality and offers a brand new experience that you’ve not yet seen on Episode.
Who is your target audience?
Anyone who’s a fan of fantasy, romance, and adventure! And someone who doesn’t particularly care if they can customize the main characters either. (Because of art scenes, and overlays. Stuff like that.)
What are the story’s strengths?
I’d like to say unique plot, and character’s background and development. You can really see what each character went through and how that effects their actions, and where they currently stand.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Choices mainly, how they can affect the outcome of the story, and affect your relationships with characters. (Romance choices)
Who is your favourite character and why?
Uhm, that’s a hard one. I’d have to say Saros. He isn’t the main character, he’s one the romance options. He’s been through a lot, and has been shunned by society for something he couldn’t control. He has no family, and only one friend. But I truly believe he finds his inner strength when meeting the MC, Elara.
I really like your idea! Although I think a cover is not bad to catch somebodys interest.
I’ll definitely check out some of the stories here!
About my story:
What is your story called?
Dark Temptation
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Fantasy. I think it fits in this genre, because it’s about fantasy creatures (and no: no vampires, no werewolves )
What inspired you to write it?
I don’t know exactly. Maybe myths and legends, music, movies, own ideas. A healthy mix. I got the idea and did research to create a mix of old myths and my own story.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
I think it’s different, because even though it starts in a high school, it’s not a highschool drama. Further I decided to go without the typical mean bad boy.
Moreover I have seen many stories about the same mystical creatures (even though some are really good), I decided to write about something I haven’t seen on episode yet.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
It’s suitable for minors as well as for adults. I, myself, am 24 years old.
Since I have many choices, which influence the story, I hope that people of all age can enjoy it.
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
Like I mentioned, I hope it’s a not overdone topic. I, personally, am proud of the number of choices in my story. I’m trying hard to let you influence the story a lot.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Yes, I’m working on adding more overlays.
Who is your favourite character and why?
I’m afraid that I can’t tell you, because it would ruin the story.
If you took interest I would love to hear your feedback.
Instagram: episode.menia
You are absolutely right and I don’t mind if anyone adds the cover, I just wanted to make sure you answer at least a few questions in order to make this different from the other story promoting threads
I get that. Like I said, I really like the idea, because you get more information about the stories and you can choose the one that caught your interest.
What is your story called?
*Simple to Chaos
Story Link: http://episodeinteractive.com/s/6065730015199232
What is the genre?
*Action/Adventure
What inspired you to write it?
It was a bit of personal experience and a bit of always wanting to write a story but make it a cliche breaker and my imaginative brain…It controls me…
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
I think it’s because it comes with choices that have affects the story or/and your character drastically. I write a story about a gang, but I want you to have more of a smart control of fate and I don’t want the MC to take the easy way out. Like say, oh she’s pampered by everyone in the gang and she ends up pregnant with the boss’ child. And then then the action starts because of that.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
I don’t have a target audience at all, but I would recommend this to any teen or just anyone interested. I would say this is in the Young Adult section.
What are the story’s strengths?
I would confidently say I have a unique plot, meaningful choices, advanced directing. I take time to really polish my story and I do it by myself. I hunt down for any special/good background/templates/overlays. I make my own backgrounds that put a unique view of things an make sure that the effect is there for good purpose.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Plotwise. Yes, I’m young so I try not to let my gullible mind led to unrealistic advantages for my story. I want to make sure my story makes sense and it doesn’t get confusing or it feels too rush.
Who is your favorite character and why?
I would have to say Alexander, I feel like he’s the most relaxed character I can write and be myself because he is apart of the comedy relief where as other characters. I need to make sure they…well…stay in character and I just love the gay bean I created.
What is your story called BLACK BETTY
Link to Story http://episodeinteractive.com/s/5040097505705984
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre? The genre is comedy. I chose this genre because I wanted to write something that was light-hearted, but still has relatable, exploring deeper issues the characters struggle with.
What inspired you to write it? I was inspired by personal experiences and some of my favorite musicians. A lot of the characters are based on people I know, or musicians I admire.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section? I think there are still cliche elements (love, “bad boys”, popular groups), however the guys in my story are not jerks and have reasons for their behaviors. Also, the story begins in high school, where the MC has a garage band, and will follow her through her career and the decisions she’s forced to make along the way.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to? I didn’t chose an age group demographic, but more anyone who loves music and the journey chasing your dreams.
What are the story’s strengths? I think the strengths are the characters individual journeys and how they all deal with their issues individually and as a group. They need to rely on each other for the band, but also rely on themselves.
Anything you are planning to improve? It’s my first story, so I’m figuring out directing, effects, and all of that along the way. I’ll probably go back and revamp the story when I’m finished and learn more about the process.
Who is your favourite character and why? Tough. I love Betty (being the MC), I think she struggles with a lot (pressure, anxiety, failure) and I think a lot of people can relate to that. I also love Luke. He’s very confident in himself and who he is, and is hilarious. He’s a great friend for Betty and gives her advice when she needs him. Jude and Ezra both have more going on then you think when you first meet them. They’re not your typical “bad boys”.
I hope people check it out and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading.
Hi Diana,
Can you please check the thread description and edit your post accordingly? Thanks!
What is your story called? (If you have more, choose the one you consider to be the best).
Sophisticated & Deceived
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Romance
What inspired you to write it?
Society
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
My story is different because it’s reality. It focuses on the real world. Real world issues, thoughts, and real world focuses. This doesn’t sound like your average episode story.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
Teenagers and millennial. I am a teenager myself, and I wanted to make this story specifically for young people. We struggle in life because we always seem to put some type of title on ourselves.
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
I think my plot is different. I do add some advanced directing into it such as zooming, spotting, and more. I think the characters relate to people in the world.
Anything you are planning to improve?
My directing skills.
Who is your favorite character and why?
I’d say the main character is my favorite character, and not because I created her haha. Not only did I create her to relate to real world young people, but she relates to me as well. Some of her morals are the same morals that I live by.
What is your story called? (If you have more, choose the one you consider to be the best).
Fiction
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Fantasy is probably the best fit. I do have elements of different genres but the magic and mystery in my stories promote fantasy. I enjoy stories that play with reality and that’s what I represent in my story.
What inspired you to write it?
I’m an artist and a graphic novel writer. I become inspired to create unique and diverse characters that present a message. I’m writing Fiction to study how these distinct characters can work harmoniously to solve the problems that are affecting all their lives.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
It takes a perspective that hasn’t been offered. I give readers the opportunity to play as multiple characters with an omniscient narrator. It has a plot that hasn’t been explored before on the trending section which is the idea of different realities and universes. It focuses on young characters responsible for protecting the stability of reality.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
Since most of the characters are teenagers, that is the audience it may attract. I believe everyone should be able to enjoy this story.
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
The strengths of this story are that I include immersive audios and visuals, The cover art is done by myself so it represents the characters in the way I wish and every main character is complex and has a story of their own to explore. The reader can always go on a tangent and learn about a character they are curious about. There will be huge character development and the amazing potential of each character is conveyed onscreen.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Directing and how smooth the transitions are. I would also like to improve dialog as I feel I may have too much to say all at once.
Who is your favourite character and why?
Korbin, who is one of my main (and important hinthint)characters is definitely my favourite. He isn’t just a love interest or a flat version of a male character which is something I see an abundance of in writing directed for females. He is the most complex character and has many issues to deal with. He doesn’t turn it into anger or disconnectedness, instead, he remains positive, outgoing and caring. He’s also a goofball so we all need him around for a laugh sometimes.
Thanks for sticking around for my long passionate spiel.
~Oracle
Hi!
What a great idea!
Here is my story info:
What is your story called?
The Essentia Chronicles
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Fantasy. I think it fits because it’s about a magical realm where it’s people can use their aura’s essence to protect, affect or defend.
What is a brief Story Description?
When a powerful young couple steals the Kings most prized possession, it starts a chain reaction that will either destroy their world or return it to its former glory.
What inspired you to write it?
It’s a story I’ve been working on for a while. Writing is cathartic for me and this story, in particular, helped me through a rough time in my life. So I decided to share it in the hopes that my readers would get something out of it too.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
I think it’s different because it’s not your average Fantasy story, It’s doesn’t have mythical creatures or cliche magic schools or vampires werewolves or witches. I feel it’s about the lives of my characters, who just happen to be able to use their Aura. I’ve never seen anything like on episode yet.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
I don’t have a target audience. It has something for everyone, magic, love, loss, mystery but I guess if I had to choose it would be geared toward Fantasy story readers.
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
It’s a unique story that has never been done before. Each character has a well-developed backstory that you learn about throughout each chapter. It has several choices and a story branch in chapter 11 and it will have two possible endings. Also, I use alot of moving overlay and other advance directing techniques.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Not at the moment but I’m always open to any suggestions.
Who is your favorite character and why?
I would have to say, Josh, because he is the most fun to write for.
If you have any question please feel free to message me here or through Instagram @tldax913.episode
Have a great Day! :)

What is your story called?
Some Sort of Drama -
What is the genre? Why do you think if fits the genre?
I would say Dramedy?? It has a little of both. It fits both comedy and drama because that’s the way real life is sometimes. -
What inspired you to write it?
My life, a corny movie I watched, and the fact that I wanted something different on Episode. -
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliché in the trending section?
Well, I feel my story is a little more realistic since I tailored it after some experiences I’ve had as well as others I know. -
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
I don’t really have a target audience, anyone can read it if they want. I recommend my story to all people. -
What are the story’s strengths?
Hmm, I’d say the way my characters are made is the strength of my story. Mostly everyone develops, even the antagonist. -
Anything you are planning to improve?
I pretty much have everything planned out for this one. But if I decide to write more stories in the future I’d definitely like to improve in directing and overlaying. -
Who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Manuel (The MC’s male friend). He really is as the MC says “the only reasonable, and truly level headed person” in the story. He is what the reader’s question about everyone in the story, and he’s a swell friend to have.
What is your story called?
Agents of SPECTRUM
What is the genre?
Adventure.
Why do you think it fits the genre?
The journey of my MC. It is truly an adventure.
What inspired you to write it?
To be honest, watching the fifth season of Samurai Jack. If you haven’t watched it yet, I won’t spoil it.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
Using the Rainbow as a code for the team? I never saw anyone used or created something like that before.
What are the story’s strengths?
Teamwork, family lost, and family found. Love.
Anything you are planning to improve?
I am planning two squeals to this story. One involving three styles.
Who is your favorite character and why?
Honestly, Azure…Codename: Blue. She is the invented/mechanic of the group. Reminds me of Valerie from the cartoon, “Josie and the Pussycats.”
(I guess I am showing my age…)

I’m super terrible at stuff like this but here goes.
What is your story called? (If you have more, choose the one you consider to be the best).
Autumn Falls.
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Romance but there’s a lot of drama and suspense in it too.
What inspired you to write it?
Not sure really. I’ve always been a writer in one way or another.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
It starts out as a typical cliche high school, mean girl bullying the shy girl over falling for the “bad boy” at the beginning (that was just my starting point of the story) but then the story completely changes and I think a lot of people won’t be expecting what’s to come…
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
Young adults and anyone that likes romance but with some mystery thrown in.
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.)
The main male character is super sweet. I didn’t want to promote any toxic masculinity so I made him a virgin and wanted to really emphasis that guys struggle with feelings and sex in the same way everyone else does.
I really also take the extra time to add in custom backgrounds and overlays because I think the little details matter.
This story has a little bit of everything - mean girls, billionaires, gangs, death, secrets, lies and mystery. I think I do okay at bringing everything together to make it work.
Anything you are planning to improve?
Chapters 1 - 5 are published, the rest are locked for now as I’m revamping it all. I’ve learnt a lot since I first wrote it and I really want the story to shine, like I envision it to be.
Who is your favourite character and why?
The two main characters are definitely my favourite couple.
Note - Currently one artscene, some more to come in later chapters. Lots of overlays, choices and I think the chapters are long enough.
My story is called: In the County
Genre: Comedy. This story is a family story that is full of many different personalities that can clash and come together. It’s a fun story with a comedic backbone to spice it up.
Who should read this: My target reader is someone who is interested in a light read that will brighten their day and have them invested in the characters.
What is the story’s strengths: My story is not going to be typical or what is expected of Episode. The story has many twists and turns and situations just uncomfortable enough to make them hilarious. Character’s values and characteristics will be examined along the whole journey. I just started writing when I first wrote this story, but now I have really put my spin on this story and made it very professional.
Who is my favorite character and why: My favorite character is definitely Jamie. She may be a supporting character, but I think she stands out. She’s my favorite because she isn’t afraid to be herself. She’s quirky, sophisticated, and a little bit of a geek. However, she is loyal and has a competitive side. I’ve spent so much time turning her into a rounded character, that she almost feels real. I really feel a connection to all my characters, and I hope other people will fall in love with them too!
What inspired this story: I was reading a story with a spoiled, rich man, who got changed through love. So, then I started thinking “Why can’t that be a girl?”. So I decided to put a spin into that cliché story- with a different kind of love.
What is your story called?
Nocturnal
What is the genre?
Horror and Romance.
What inspired you to write it?
I was inspired to write my story because it’s based on a dream I had.
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
My story is different because it is original and has a unique plot line.
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
I would recommend my story to teenagers and young adults who love the horror/romance genre.
Anything you are planning to improve?
It’s my first story so I am still new to everything but I will make the next chapters longer with more choices.
Who is your favourite character and why?
My favorite character is Lina because she is a fun character to write in as she is flirty yet cunning.
My story:
Title: Nocturnal
Author: CrazyCreativeMind
Episodes: 4 (More episodes coming soon)
Genre: Horror, romance
Style: Limelight
Description: It’s been a year since Eli’s sister was taken by soul-devouring demons. Now, they have come back for him and won’t stop until his sanity is lost and his soul is captured.

*And Then, They Were Gone.
- Dark comedy. Most definently! People being killed off (accidentally) hilariously with no repercussions.
- It was based on a story our teacher got us to write in primary school, which in part was based on the book, “And Then, There Were None.”
- No bad boys, no sex, no romance, no characters being attracted to each other, little comical violence, no guns, no pregnancy, no kissing, no criminals, no smoking, etc.
- I’d say anyone over ten should have no problem reading it. Even younger, depending on maturity.
- It’s pretty unique. Original story. One of the rare (if only) stories to feature a game of Australian Rules Football. Not many stories about school camps going around that I can see. It’s dark comedy, but not really dark.
- Nah, I’m happy with it.
- Sandy, the head councillor. You can’t help but feel for her plight.

Some questions for discussion:
-
What is your story called? (If you have more, choose the one you consider to be the best).
Still Sane. -
What is the genre? Why do you think it fits the genre?
Drama. I think it fits the genre because it’s going to contain a lot of Drama. -
What inspired you to write it?
I was looking for some new stories to read and I kept seeing a bunch of stories about bad boys and all of that. Then I thought about it. How come no one (that I know of) writes about weird guys. Not like creepy ones, just the ones that are really awkward and antisocial. (Not like the nerd stories, more weirder than that.) Then just like that Still Sane was born. -
Why do you think the story is different from the average cliche in the trending section?
It’s going to have real life problems, and it won’t contain any bad boys or things related to that. -
Who is your target audience? Who would you recommend the story to?
Well, everyone is welcome to read it but I’m targeting teenagers. (One’s in high school preferably. Whoa I sound really weird.) Anyone. -
What are the story’s strengths? (unique plot, character development, meaningful choices, advanced directing etc.) Hmmm…I’m not sure. Wait, probably the unique plot, and meaningful choices and somewhat of advanced directing.
-
Anything you are planning to improve?
Everything. My writing isn’t all that but I’m learning something new everyday, so that helps. -
Who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Zylen, he’s the love interest. He’s so weird but sweet at the same time.
I haven’t planned everything out with Still Sane, I’m just doing what I usually do when I’m writing. I go along with the flow, umm…well write and see what I come up with every chapter.
