Let's be honest.. We need to talk!

Hey!! This is my first created topic here and I wanted it to be about something special. Let’s talk about bullying. Of course everyone of us has encountered in his life some people that bullied and had fun of him maybe because of his look or his behavior, or even he did the same for other people (maybe his friends)… Everyone has a story to tell. Let’s be honest and talk about this and how it affects the person in a very bad way!!
The goal of this is to realize that we shouldn’t ever judge someone based on his look, we should keep in mind that we are all equal, and we all have the same rights…:hearts:

Often the bully gets bullied, or has some sort of tough situation going on. Of course, that isn’t always the case. Sometimes they’re just rude and do like the fear they create or just enjoy it. However, bullies do get bullied for being a bully, or get bullied by another bully. This just creates a constant, non-stop cycle of bullying. You can discourage the behavior without ganging up on the person and bullying them. You are scaring them and controlling them out of their fear, instead of encouraging them to do the right thing. I don’t mean to defend bullies, but that’s what I think.
For victims, it is very hard. The consequences are serious. You can damage their self-esteem greatly, make them feel awful about themselves, isolate themselves, and make them do poorly at school. Bullies even drive their victims to death, and that’s obviously incredibly devastating. And those bullies have to live with the fact that they drove someone to suicide, and sometimes, the bullies don’t even care.
I just hope everyone is aware of what they are doing. People need to be aware and know what is going on. It’s not funny or fun to bully. In the long run, you’ll regret it. You really will. All I got to say is, don’t do it. It sounds simple, but apparently it’s not. We’ve come a long way, but there’s still a lot to do.

Sometimes bullies project their own insecurities on the victim. I know a girl that used to bully people for their weight, calling them fat, overweight, but she was always obsessed with her weight too. She was underweight and always talked about eating, so the bullying was probably coming from her insecurities

That was a long time ago, I haven’t seen her in a while

I think that killing bullying is by helping bullies and improving their way of thinking and behavior :two_hearts:

I’m not saying do as I did. But the first week of school, I had moved to a new state. I saw some older kid picking on this other kid on the playground. I was not having any of it. I jumped him from behind and the other kid, punched him in the well, not a good place to get hit if you are a male.

After that, that kid was never picked on again by the bully. But violence is not always the answer to be honest. I myself could have gotten in trouble for doing that. Granted I did not care. But yeah bullying is a problem, and one not to be taken lightly.
