Yeah, I watched it a few days ago. The movie was great (especially Will Smith), but Jafar lacked sooo muchhh. He just lacked so much from the animation. HIS SONGS WEREN’T EVEN IN THE MOVIE. I am so in love with Arabian Nights from that soundtrack, though. Speechless was powerful but not my favourite.
Cool. I would say the same for Jafar but I think they should’ve casted someone else cuz’ I recognize the man who plays him from a previous movie that I saw last year. The songs are great though! Will killed it! R.I.P. Robin Williams!

Anyone see the announcement for the Little Mermaid live action? What does everyone think about the actress playing Ariel (there seems to be a bit or controversy around it - but then again, it’s not a Disney live action without a bit of controversy )?

It’s pretty cool to see Disney embracing different races! But I do see where a lot of people are coming from. Like every other Disney Princess, Ariel has this specific look that is associated with her name. I get why some people are pretty upset her whole look is changed. Apart from that, Halle’s voice is

I’m super excited to see who’s casting as Ursula. Whoever it is needs to be seriously talented because the villains are always the hardest to pull off.

I love Melissa McCarthy. She’d be a pretty good actress for the role, but the perfect actress for the role? Maybe, maybe not. But anyways, people are gonna be upset about everything. It’s weird. I notice it a lot more surrounding Disney movies lately. I even heard people were upset with Scar or Mufasa’s casting? Something about that. You can’t please everyone, lol
