I just finished season 9 of friends the kiss between Rachel and Joey 
My ship was always Rachel×Ross and Phoebe×Joey but now I can’t stop shipping rachel with joey. What do you think??

Rachel/Joey was where it all fell off imo, or at least it confirmed the show had fallen off. That couple made no sense, it felt so wrong, but that just seems to be how it goes when shows go well past where they should have ended and the writers become desperate for plot lines. The Ross/Rachel story line was stale by like season 5 but at least they made sense together, there was ground work there, it was a staple of the show, the baby kinda cemented that they would always in some ways be together and I feel like it should have been good enough for Ross to move to Paris to co-patent and Rachel still got her dream job. Loved Monica and Chandler’s ending though that felt completely perfect.

I just started season 2, does it get better or worse from there. Which season is the best?
I would say season 2-5 was probably the golden period for Friends. Not that the later seasons were terrible, it stayed consistent most of the time, but post season 4/5ish the stories get redundant the characters (some more than others) turn into cliche’s of themselves, it’s to be expected for a show that lasted that long though.
I personally HATED Rachel and Joey! I didn’t see how they got together and it was so cringe! Just saying though, FRIENDS rules!! Favourite show other than Brooklyn 99

You NEED to watch Brooklyn 99, it’s a tv show and it is the best. Friends was my favourite for years until I watched Brooklyn 99

I think Joey and Phoebe are best pals and their relationship is one of the most endearing on the show for that reason, they are platonic friends who love and respect each other and are the comedic relief to the other fours drama, that’s why they’re so endearing. Also I don’t “ship” anyone, my opinion is purely based on critical evaluation of the writing and acting, there is zero sexual or romantic chemistry between Jenifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc, there was none between their characters and there was no basis for their relationship it felt weird and gross and it came out of nowhere. Well, it came out of desperate writers who had no idea what to do with show anymore but you know what I mean. I would have felt the same about a romantic relationship between Joey and Phoebe.
