That’s extremely unrealistic… I’ve only heard of that happening like once

After that it’s like: ā€œSO THEY CAN END UP TOGETHER TOO!ā€

nobody gonna talk about the level of underage kiddos having s*x almost every single night and once someone is a virgin cough mc cough they make a huge fuss about it and make fun of them… sickening

And the author makes a spinoff based on their relationship

Ahh that’s so annoying and too common

Eek

Exactly you almost never see badboy virgins…they always have to be fboys

And once the MC loses her innocence she gets all big and bad and stands up to bullies

Exactly! It’s as though her confidence is gained by the recognition of someone else (if that makes sense)
Like once someone notices them and suddenly they are confident…
They need to find confidence in themself by themself sometimes

honestly, cliches can be annoying but I can tolerate them if they’re well written and thought-out for the most part ! the one that I genuinely cannot stand is the internally misogynistic female protagonist who looks down on other girls for literally every reason in the book. it sorta goes along with the ā€œi’m not like the other girlsā€ troupe, like, hey! every other girl here dresses promiscuously and has a more casual definition of relationships than I, therefore I make passing judgement upon them internally and act like I’m worth more than them! sis, you’re not like the other girls, you’re worse. accordingly the bad boy who overly values the ā€œi’m not like the other girlsā€ girl for the sake of taking her virginity grinds my gears almost just as much.
complete side note, when the girl meets the boy and at first site gets all awkward and can’t even breathe because he’s ā€œso breathtakingā€ and just the-most-attractive-person-in-the-whole-world thing therefore she can’t stop staring is a little overplayed too & not what I personally feel would be realistic to a real life scenario? but then again, to each their own.

Yup, which is exactly why I want to make a mate bond something that has to be chosen by both. Sure they can be attracted to each other, but it’s not love at first sight

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to make a story funny? Like what do you guys find funny and not funny?

dude, I feel this so bad. it’s so unrealistic to think any single person is the best at everything. plus, the ā€˜bad boy’ stories where the dude has so many anger management issues that he tries to beat up or threaten anyone who even looks at the mc/slightly inconveniences her is so old. like, learn how to use communication to solve issues buddy. that’s 10x more attractive than assaulting everyone who crosses your path :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Thank you so much! Sooooo true
Why would episode writers write this and show this as an attractive trait…
To me it’s like foreshadowing to possible physical problems in a relationship

Every single cliche story’s plot:

MC is a ā€œnerdā€ who just so happens to have a childhood BFF who’s the (second) most popular girl in school. The MC has a crush on the bad boy who thinks she’s not like other girls because she stood up to him when he was being an ass. All the girls swoon at the sight of him and fall at his feet. The MC is somehow immune to his charm, that is, until she casually walks in on him shirtless. Then he aggressively takes off her glasses, calls her beautiful, and then leaves. Then the MC gets picked on by the mean girl (who just so happens to be dating the bad boy). It somehow motivates her to get an extreme makeover (which is just taking off her glasses and wasting gems on clothes). Then the LI suddenly wants to make babies with her (eek) and she gets preggo. The end.

I like when authors add Vines in their story or funny events that happened irl…

For example, in the story ā€œSo we’re adults nowā€ Jordyn said ā€œPut your P**sy Lips on live and I’ll give you a thousand dollarsā€ was kinda funny to me because Lil Boosie said it  (And I was personally on his live )

personally, I like when I can relate to characters in a way (them being a whole a*s mood) but not when it’s just to be quirky… honestly idk how to explain but I like seeing a genuinely funny dialog here and there (as long as it makes at least some common sense) even when the genre of the story isn’t comedy

I love that!

this is such a good point. like who tf cares what the love interests mom and dad looks like lol :sob: :sob: customization only really makes sense for the mc and the love interest, depending on whats best for your story.
