Most likely or feel unmotivated. But it’s like they’re having a fantasy contest…one of the popular genres is fantasy but they still don’t add anything in that’s useful .
We need more fantasy stuff and medieval items as it’d be really really useful for the fantasy genre and helpful for the contest…

That’s sadly true. I’ve been playing Episode since 2015 and only started coding on the portal around 2018 and I was very active up until 2020 when I took a break from it. It’s been a couple of months since I came back and when I first opened the Forums again I noticed pretty much half of the community and some of my old friends were all gone. I don’t know how many more people will continue using this platform if Episode insists on ignoring every single one of our requests, especially when other apps like Spotlight are becoming bigger and trendier by the minute. And it’s a shame, because they’re objectively graphically worse but that will only continue to matter for so long.

I agree I’ve seen lots of authors transfer to other plateforms and while I do agree those apps graphic are a lil scary they do seem better and they actually listen to the ppl…
Episode does listen to but as much each update they’d give make 2 or 3 different things from the wish lists . I personally thing episode should ditch the themed stuff and upload mostly the wish lists and maybe a few of what they wanna see as well .
I know the community has been wanting to get lots of different things but with how episode is releasing things the list is going to grow and grow and episode will still be at the beginning of the list .

I think everyone is traumatized by those . I think even without the headband people would still find them useless . During that time when they did unicorns they should’ve added fantasy stuff so it would be fantasy as a theme instead of unicorns .

Do I sound like a jerk if I say I’m not impressed with this release? Honestly I haven’t been impressed with most of the releases lately, so maybe I’m just picky, but I’m genuinely not excited about the releases anymore.

That is partially on episode, they release a new episode original after they give the community authors their release, and the episode original has new hair and clothes that people will want so they add it to the list

Guess we’ll have to see if next months update will be any good / if they’ll listen to us . (most likely not but one can still hold onto hope )

The backgrounds are nice, but that’s about the only good thing I can say. Why didn’t this release relate to the latest contest?
It kinda just feels like at this point we’re all being messed with.

See the thing is, next month’s update won’t come in time for the contest deadline. I mean, it will technically, but do they really think authors will have time to re-code everything (especially if they -like myself- have used overlays and advanced coding to make up for the lack of fantasy related animations/stuff) and replace it with animations/backgrounds/overlays/clothes/whatever they decide to grace us with? I find it very unlikely.

Even if not solely wishlist items, then at least weekly updates (all together) were giving us more clothing. Now it looks like we have to wait a month (more or less) for around the same amount of clothing that they were giving us in 1-2 weeks. So yeah… I miss the weekly updates so much, ngl.

I agree , plus ik lots of people suggest different features on here to give episode some feedback which they can do and the community would most likely be excited for once that episode is knocking down items authors are wanting to improve their directing/stories . I think the whole themed items should be knocked down and they just do releases like April 2023 release and have items that the community/authors have been asking for .

but since you guys announced we have a contest upcoming you guys COULD of released fantasy outfits, hairstyles , new eye colours and other things for that specific contest…but it’s like you guys care more about peoples Wishlist than what other people want for contest…
