Am I tripping? I am not seeing the backlash of nonblacks having curly hair in their stories. Just reading some repeated posts about justifying nonblacks using curly hair.

Just remember context matter and how a character is portrayed. Just avoid promoting stereotypes and you should be good to go.

How to define the different types of curly hair?
You define people’s curl by it’s speed. Most curly folks have different curl speeds which is why I don’t classify hair type in 4abcdef etc. or 3 lmnop.
