ok yeah, thank you for the input. I wear high buns everyday and I have 4b-4c hair and it didn’t really look like any of the 4c buns I see, because even “spiky” buns are even, or any be evened out.

don’t worry, I agree with you. I have 4b, and my sister has 4c. our hair doesn’t look spiky when we recreate this style either. I tried to leave my complaints to a minimum, but it’s obvious that they struggle with our hair texture which sucks because the quality is never on par with the other hairstyles.
also- to those who are saying white men have curly hair, too. yes, but coils and curls are not the same things. there’s a huge difference between the two textures.

Hmmmm idk, the guy in the picture doesn’t seem to have curls that tight as seen in the episode hairstyle. His curls look looser than mine, but maybe it’s just the picture you used. However, you’re right in that white people can have a tighter curl texture (an acquired relative of mine has that exact texture himself). What matters here is that readers and authors prioritize black and mixed characters when using this hair type.

He does have curls that tight, it just depends on what products he’s used at the time… and how long his hair is. (He switches it up very often. I always preferred his longer styles, but for the past three years he’s been going short. And his hair tends to spring as it pleases.)
And exactly, I know they can… because my cousin (who’s female) has tighter curls than most, and she’s white.
