Don’t worry! The cliches in the story weren’t anything I was passionate about! They were just some elements that were added. I think what I’ve done is removed the two I thought of putting in. In reality, they didn’t quite make sense. And, while the story will obviously be fiction, I want to keep it realistic. As a writer, I tend to favor doing that. I like keeping my works as realistic as possible.
But again, it wasn’t anything I was passionate about. The general story I have in mind is what I’m passionate about (I suppose you can say), and it lacks the cliches that you see, and I think it’s also original. So in that aspect, what I’m passionate about is staying, and the other stuff that was “meh,” cliche, and not important to the overall story, is going away!

Don’t worry, I am! The story I have in mind isn’t anything based on a cliche. I don’t want to write it out here, and sound like I’m “promoting my own story,” as I’ll leave that for the designated spot on the forums. But, rest assured, the story has nothing to do with gangs and gang romances, moving in with x, pregnancies, new girl stuff, love triangles, falling in love with murderers or psychos, “mean girl” kind of stuff, makeovers, or anything in here. It’s completely different. But then again, I won’t write about the story here. I don’t want to be promoting it in the wrong place.

It’s actually not too difficult. I’ve done INK and Limelight. I didn’t notice much of a difference, if there was one to begin with. There are different animations and clothes and whatnot, though.

One cliche that bothers me is the ‘friendless’ cliche. They portray it as something easy to overcome and all of a sudden some boy is obsessed with her. As someone who has a hard time making friends it’s not easy to overcome and I can’t like approach people and socialize and there’s this feeling that I can’t explain that wells up inside me when it comes to talking to new people and I just can’t make myself do it. Once I do make friends I’m afraid to lose the ones I have that I haven’t told the majority of them that I’m bisexual because I’m afraid. Honestly, this ‘shy girl’ with one friend trope isn’t great. I’m not going to deny I have made lots of great friends, but you only have one friend if you actually go out of your way to avoid people.
