LMAOO this thread is so funny but true. Yall nailed it. I am so over all these cringy cliches. The ones i hate the most is pregnancy ones and the bad boy ones. I hate love triangles and I hate that everyone creates female MC’s that are dumb as shit and lets men walk all over her. I would love to see a character that is actually smart enough to not do that shit lol Why are these writers so obsessed with glamorizing disgusting and dysfunctional relationships. We need an Episode cleanse of all these stories STAT. Throw the whole app away

I’m so happy this was the first reply. I talk with my hubby about those stories all the time, like, “Why is there so many of them? This is gross.” LOL
There’s always a “bad boy”, the one who’s “bad for you” but doesn’t end up doing anything bad in the story. This doesn’t only apply to episode stories, of course.
And uggh, love triangles are the worst, they’re just so unnecessary. The other choice is clearly the worst and yet the character stays with them anyway.
Both love triangles and bad boys can work out if they’re done well, with well-rounded characters and a thought out plot that doesn’t involve counterproductive conflict.
Totally agree. S. Langdon is the only one who presented me with a Love Triangle that I actually liked because they were both great guys with completely different ways of going about completing their assignments. When it came down to my final choice in the game, I actually struggled to figure out who I wanted more. LOL
These clear cut “This guy is CLEARLY not good the one you’ll pick” is just ridiculous.
Yeah, the bad boy cliche should die. He’s either not that bad at all or so bad you shouldn’t consider him for a neighbor, let alone a boyfriend. But I dunno. Some of the girls on here are possibly too young to see their cliche is cliched. lol
I find these so funny. As a episode writer I admit that a few of my stories have that cliche moment lol
but I love reading these to find out what my readers would want to see.
(clapping) So when did you graduate from the University of Truth? Like this year or…?
Yeah, I would love if we could let the “mean girl LOVES the Love Interest” cliche. Sometimes a guy is cool enough to be loved by cool people simultaneously, OR the mean girl loves someone just as douchy as herself. LOL
But what do I know…?
“Ace got you pregnant but Jax is moving in with you!” You just killed me. I’m a super dead now.
Thanks for the laugh that just bellowed from my soul.

Oh yeah. That’s why she’s always late. How else will she end up in detention? Not like you can make a character who’s a little bad herself. smh
That’s… I don’t wanna… now I’m picturing it… OH NO KILL ME!!!
Oh god, I’m going to have a field day with this.
- Bad boys.
- Shy/Nerdy girls who gain the attention of someone out of their league.
- Pregnant By A…(insert cliche stereotype here)
- Seeing a girl surrounded by two or three boys on the cover. She’s most likely winking or smirking
- Gang Leaders.
- Lack of diversity. Coming from someone who is both a POC and in the LGBTQ community. These stories kill me. Seriously.
- The Chosen One cliche. Horribly overdone everywhere, not just on this app.
YES! I agree 100 % with every single point you made.

Preach it, sister!!!
lmaoooooo i am weak at the @MC exits left and MC is run_athletic

Why is this so true tho
So I see you are also graduate from the University of Truth. Do you have your Masters or your Doctorate?

Lol. I totally got an idea to make a comedy about all of these cliches. It’s gonna be a hilarious parody.
Hahahahaha omg
Omg like “sold to the gang leader” people irl are actually being in this situation and somehow the author finds a way to make it a romance story…
Like if i was talking to an author that made a story about romantic human trafficing i would be like “BRO ARE U OKAY IN THE HEAD???”
smh
