Loco Amor is problematic and overrated

I guess character looks are really crucial in Episode these days. :woman_shrugging:t2: (But is it a bad thing or a good thing…)

Shrek says hi.

It’s truly a work of art, the masterpiece of this century. Leonardo Da Vinci who? Claude Monet who?

The only funny thing she said is that she can’t do dsrk humour but in Family Guy they can… Ora, honey, Episode is a child app, Family Guy is +18 rated. And, you are showing your lack of creativity and showing that you are not funny if you use dark humor. It means you have to be offensive to make people laugh. She tries too hard with dark/basic humor. It’s ugh. A part, her story is a DRAMA, you just can’t put this crACKHeaD moments because yes? It’s not what is this about-

Sorry! Got side-tracked by shrek.

Getting back on topic, I wonder what one of Ora’s supporters or friends would say to defend her? We’ve seen a few fans on here, but I’m curious about a serious debate argument from that side.

They only say that she put so much effort, that’s their excuse. They go off topic, when we call her out on for example the misrepresentation they are all like, shE WorKED So hARd, no.

I live in Barcelona, I am spaniard. It’s different for everyone! There isn’t a skin colour that represents us! You see tanned people but its because the tourism places have beaches, and people who live near are more likely to be tanned, I am tanned, because I live near and I spent my days going to the beach, that’s why :))

when will people stop comparing episode stories to damn family guy? also, dark humor is very controversial and most definitely not generally appropriate for a pg-13 app. her need to compare her poor humor to adult shows explains a lot.

it’s no wonder not everyone can be a comedian.

i hope for their sake nothing because there’s literally no valid argument against our concerns. but of course it’s always about wOrKiNg HaRd over being a responsible author and overall a decent fucking human being.

That are basically white people with dark skin. Also, aren’t they only background characters?

The kid…The damn kid that was just there to add some suspense…

Exactly! Like mature authors who tell people not to recommend their stories cause they’ve been featured before.

And so disgustingly fetishized

Yeah…

I could try to comment about it under one of her posts. From what I’ve seen, she replies to comments. Ik I’ll probably get attacked by her followers but arguing with those guys is my guilty pleasure

This annoys me so much, that they just consider people who are offended and are speaking up about it trolls or haters.

Exactly! They all start stupid and annoying and stay stupid and annoying and abusive  Just look at Alexis. Her only development is that she got a job at a shoe store and that was only mentioned in one chapter cause then she flew to Spain.

I know that Alexis is 19 and Ricardo is 23 in Loco Amor. Idk about how old they are in LA2.

The fact that the MC’s and the author are qUiRkY has to be thrown in the reader’s face every few scenes.

Exactly! And they are so shook when they find out they’re pregnant.

This kills me. I don’t think she uses more than 2 of each feature in her stories. It’s so annoying that I seriously forget who is who because they all look the same and act the same.

This is what my sister was screaming about when she was reading the story. The story has no climax, we just read through this silly bunch of events. Also, every moment that has the potential of being a climax is just skipped over.

The fact that she didn’t take down the joke shows how much that apology meant.

The female wide nose is the cutest ink nose imo

Her humor is not dark. It’s unfunny, and offensive.

Murderers work hard as well, don’t they? Does that excuse what they do? :flushed:

I read a few of the comments here and I kinda changed my mind regarding this whole subject, it looks like this story really is problematic although she looks like a nice person ;-; I mean, the plagiarism part is a big no no. I mean quoting one line as a reference is alright and I do it too. But the whole scene? :unamused: and it kinda annoys me that episode are being strict with guidelines but ‘ignore’ them when it comes to really big authors. I was told to remove a scene with a lil bit of blood yet rape jokes can stay? :flushed: This is madness. And I wish it wasn’t like this.

On the other hand the stupid ass jokes (not the rape ones ofc) and the ‘quirky’ behaviour or whatever is not problematic or smth it’s just kinda stupid and I feel like ppl mix it up a little. We all like to read different things and different stories and I guess this is what she likes to write. I think what shocks most ppl here is that this type of content have like 2+ million reads while there are so many great underrated stories that deserves it. But well, personally I read the first chapter and I just… couldn’t continue :flushed: but this is what some ppl like to read. I’d like to believe that she did work hard on it, and I think she should just listen to what the community has to say and remove the problematic parts.

I’m spanish, MY culture is being misrepresented and fetishized. Don’t tell me how to feel about it. She worked hard? I’m sure she did, but coding is another thing, feeling of people don’t matter? I am really angry about this story and her for not giving a d*mn, again, don’t tell me this excuse, it is not the subject.

Look I’m not saying that there are things wrong with the story. I get that, and I completely understand. But to criticize the writing and the author or two very different things

Good for them. They published it, therefore giving the green light to criticism.

I’m sorry, but elements in her story are rude and offensive towards certain nationalities (Spanish people) or people (rape victims, for example).

We don’t care about the cliches, we are talking about the problematic stuff she writes.

We didn’t criticize who she is as a person. We criticized what she puts in her stories.

You just contradicted yourself. Criticizing her as a writer means criticizing her writing.

People tried that and it didn’t work.

I see where you are coming from, and like I said there are problems with her writing. However I was looking through the comments and noticed several people did criticize her and not her story. I’m not saying it’s ok for her to write these things at all, but just be kind with your words because you never know how they could mentally affect someone else

If by writing you mean jokes, I get humour is personal, but when it crosses a bar it’s not funny anymore. A part from that, she uses bad grammar in spanish, for example, saying pequeno?(because episode doesnt allow ñ (pequeño) when it’s called to a female it’s pequeñA (pequena in episode because it’s not allowed), you can go to translate and it will show pequeña, it’s just lack of research and that’s that
