I agree that people can be a little nicer in the way they phrase their thoughts, but also, public content, public criticism.
Once again, read through the thread and you’ll see the backstory with people who are a part of that contributing to this discussion. She has shamed readers for finding things offensive, she has sent her friends to attack readers bringing this up, and she doesn’t see anything wrong with what she’s writing. Read through the thread to get a firm grasp on what’s happening and then we can continue this conversation
well she wasn’t considerate to people when she made offensive jokes. I’m not saying it’s okay to attack her I’m just pointing out what she’s done so both “sides” can be at fault.
The whole Spanish stereotype is pretty messed up, unfortunately it’s popular in a lot of stories. Especially when it comes to mafia. Loco amor isn’t the first / the last one this is actually one of the main reasons why I don’t read mafia stories.
I think that comes with the part of how ridiculous the story is that its just hilarious, especially when it is written by someone who should know what to put in a story and should absolutely at least check the app’s guidelines in the first place before publishing anything on the platform.
Not to mention episode is extremely bias and doesn’t give other authors a chance so people also start to get tired of the same thing and begin to throw shade. Just sayin’
I didn’t say her jokes were fine or smth like that, I said the opposite >< I think that what should need to be pointed out instead of the ridiculous plot or whatever, is the way this story looks like it just ‘ignores’ the guidelines.
Agreed. The offensive jokes are problematic but the silly humor is fine and even if you don’t like the plot, there is nothing wrong with it offensive wise.
Right??? I’m so glad you understand this! Also, why are they always from Spain or Mexico? There are soo many countries which uses Spanish as it’s primary language, so why Spain or Mexico. Also, why do they always have to be tan? My best friend’s dad is from Mexico and she’s pale as crap (still tanner than me tho ).
They’re sometimes Italians as well. I just personally avoid these stories mostly because of the annoying stereotypes/nicknames (the nicknames are always stupid ) and because it always somehow involves unhealthy relationships and mafia stories are so popular rn. This is what I’m doing with my chapter screenshots. I’m rereading the story and posting screenshots of scenes that I find problematic, offensive, or just stupid. Granted, I could just focus my energy on the problematic scenes, but tbh there are some things about this story that, although aren’t offensive or against the guidelines, need to go.
