Looking for a Co-Author! The Monarch🦋

Hi everyone!!

I am currently working on my first story: The Monarch!!

It’s coming along very slowly. I was thinking lately it would be nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and to write a story with. I looked into some posts about co-authors on here and thought it was an amazing idea!! So here I am looking for a co-author! If you are interested please reply to this topic! Also, for more information on this story, look for my previous topic: Promoting my UPCOMING story!

Thank you so much!!

Much love, Gracie :sparkles::black_heart::sparkles:

Hi everyone!!

As some of you know, I am working on my first story: The Monarch🦋

I am seriously struggling with this story. (As you can tell my the title)

I have hit a writers block, I don’t know where my story is going, don’t know what to do and how to code half the time even though I’ve watched a ton of templates, videos, tips and tricks, etc.

If you could help me with ANYTHING that would be much appreciated!!

Much love, Gracie :sparkles::black_heart::sparkles:

I’d recommend listening to songs, or stories- I mean listen to storytellers like Alec Benjamin, who sing stories, his songs are so inspiring and honestly help to just clear your mind, and get it flowing with ideas :grin:

How can I overcome a writers block?
Or
How do I avoid cliche scenes and characters?

I just hit a writers block by trying not to write cliche plots, cliche scenes, and cliche characters

If you’re struggling with coding you should help out people on the forums, this is actually how I learnt coding, by helping others with errors even when I wasn’t good at it :yay:

I can try that even though I’m struggling. :sparkles::black_heart::sparkles:

Good luck

Maybe a stupid idea, but maybe you can make a mindmap about the main plot (and characters, etc) of your story? You can write down some extra words and ideas underneath every word and maybe it will grow out to something special! :grin:
Maybe you can also listen to songs, read stories or watch movies/series that has something to do with the main plot of your story? :woman_shrugging:t3:

I get it…you need some inspo! Personally, what I do is I open my “Notes” app on my phone and write down the stupidest and most random sentences/phrases/actions/scenes/side characters inside of it. Yeah, it may sound pointless but typing or writing it down could lead you to a whole brand new idea (I speak from personal experience). :blush:

anytime :upside_down_face:

Trying to avoid them is pointless in my opinion. If you have a cliche or two it doesn’t matter. It is all trial and error. The one “cliché” that you definitely should try to avoid is the best friend who is there just to cater to MC’s needs. And any ones that are offensive. But apart from that just let yourself write clichés and you can take out what doesn’t work.
