Hi there! I’m currently looking for historical fiction stories. My favorite I’ve read so far is “Someone Else’s Hero” by Nala, which takes place in WW2. If anyone has any other recommendations, possibly taking place in the 20th century.
Thank you! ![]()

As for recommendations, Act of Vengeance (I forgot the authors name) is set in the 1920s or 1930s. Embers of Time by M.Jordan involves time travel where the mc is from the past.
Also, ‘The one that got away’ by Joriemar is mostly set in 1959.
@Baleigh_episode’s A Marriage of Deception is historical fiction and its really good. At the moment i cant remember if its set earlier than the 1900s lol but its a really well written story. =)
Thanks for the recommendation! I’m glad you’re enjoying the story. ![]()
A Marriage of Deception is set in 1837. ![]()
I thought 1800s but wasn’t sure lol. It is awesome though-even if a little earlier than the OPs timeframe but I think it’s worth it ![]()

Greetings! Thank you very much for this thread. My story Eternal Oblivion has a historical fiction element to it. I’d say about half of the story takes place in the present, and the other half is flashbacks throughout history going back to the Neolithic era. Not sure if that’s quite what you’re looking for, but I figured I’d mention it just in case. If you do end up reading it, I’d love to hear any thoughts you may have. ![]()
Title: Eternal Oblivion
Author: Silver Lady
Genre: Fantasy primarily with a large dose of mystery, as well as action, drama, romance, and historical fiction thrown in from time to time.
Style: Limelight
Number of Episodes: 42. Story is complete. NO “Skip the Wait”.
CC: Kinda. You can’t customize the main three characters (for story reasons), but there is a character for you to customize starting with chapter five. You won’t see much of her to start, but she becomes more important later in the plot.
Description: When a powerful force rises to threaten the world, can Amara and her allies defeat the ancient death dragon? Or is life as they know it doomed?
Additional Info: The story unfolds on multiple timelines over the course of 5k+ years, and examines the affect true immortality could have on a person and their loved ones, as well as how the choices we make can have long lasting consequences, and the idea of determinism vs. free will.

And definitely check out Baleigh’s stories. She has many set during the Regency era, including the one mentioned above, and they’re all quite good. ![]()
Thank you! Sounds awesome. : )
I’m being nit picky here, but technically they’re Victorian Era. ![]()
