Still give it a try and don’t stop reading a story because it isn’t updated for a while. Authors have reasons why they can’t update immediately, @Stormsky. I have a life next to writing Episode stories. I have work, a household to run and only time to write or comment on the forums in the evening (hence the time difference, it’s 7 in the evening over here) or in the weekend. I love to write and don’t get paid for writing, like most of the authors on this platform don’t get paid over here. I just like to say that, we don’t have always time to update immediately.

Firstly, I was not having a dig at you, I admire anyone who can write a story in the first place., and I appreciate fully authors having their lives to lead. And I also never take offence if a story gets discontinued , authors don’t owe us readers anything, most don’t get paid, it’s a hobby.
But if any story I see hasn’t been updated in nearly a year, I wouldn’t read, for fear of getting invested and it not being finished…
I have stories i read, i kept in favs that havnt been updated in over 6 months, if they do update, I’d need start from beginning again anyway to recall the story.
Oh, I am not offended (and not easily to offend.) Just saying why there are stories lingering around on Episode that aren’t updated for years.
Don’t fear about that, because then you can miss some golden jewels of stories.
But I get your point, too. I am also a reader and if one of my favourite stories (like ‘Raising Daisy ‘by @LizChrisWrites) is not updated for a long time I also forget after a while where the story was about.
That’s the thing though, if it is a jewel of a story and then has no conclusion and completion to it, I’d be sad
