I don’t know why mob stories are glamorized, like the books: goodfellas, or casino for example, but if you actually read those stories, being a mobster is absolutely horrible. Why glamorize a story of a guy who robs, assassinates, and lives in constant paranoia over possible retaliation? If anything, a mob boss should be like Tony Soprano, depressed, paranoid, prone to anger, and just darkens the mood for everyone around him, Even his family is miserable around him. That is a mob boss.
