So I am currently writing a western story where one of the characters is an outlaw. My friend made me a beautiful art piece (shown below) to which Episodes rejected it for “violence/gun”. He’s not doing anything, just holding it (down to the ground at that).
My question is, how is “guns” against episode’s policy when they literally have a gun prop AND sound effect in their own que?
I’m confused to be honest lol

unfortunately, ur not allowed guns on covers ): however, I& you managed to turn it to look more like a knife…they’ll accept that, since knives/swords in a non- aggressive manner r allowed

I actually like the cover how it is, but @anon71033048 is right, (I think she means guns not guys…
). Should be weird if you can’t use knives/swords.

Yeah I get that it is supposed to be against policy. I would even understand why… except for the fact they have their own gun with gun sound effect. That is what confuses me lol Like "you can’t upload anything gun related, but here, have a black glock for your mafia stories lol I mean I can always get a new cover, it just didnt make sense to me.

I’m not completely sure… but it looks a lot more like a pose reference…if u look closely at the character the pose is actually quite different, the legs, clothing, way they’re holding the gun. It just looks like referencing to me, and that’s allowed. Might well be wrong tho.

Umm… @LizzieB, is this your friend?
If it isn’t then I think the artwork is copyrighted.

Yikes nope. Guess it was a good thing it was rejected (I just assumed it was original artwork). How do you see if artwork is original or not? Reverse image?
This was the first time I didn’t specifically commission a drawn piece or art. I guess I’ll just avoid “edited” images lmao

I actually think the website they got it from is non copyrighted (I did sum research) what they did is still wrong tho. So, I guess if u wanted, u could still use it…? however, maybe getting a new cover to b on the safe side, would b better!
