First thing, hope this is the right category for the topic, if not please let me know.
I’m writing a story that takes place in Middle Age and I’m totally unsatisfied about the clothing choice, so I was wondering how other people managed to wear their characters. If you ever wrote a medieval story, which clothes did you preferred to use?

you could use the victorian clothings
That could be an idea but I just hate the fact that it would be completely out of context
or mix around the long skirts with middle aged looking tops… maybe those’ll look more middle age-y
