How to Have Clear Skin
-
Have a face routine! Having a fave routine and keeping it up is very helpful! What I recommend for a routine is to have a cleanser, toner, and serum. But not all products will be Guaranteed to help your skin stay clear. So I recommend trying out multiple products first. Then see which one is best suited for you!
Here are some skin care companies:
Glossier
Mario Badescu
Cetaphil
i use Mario badescu

NO FACE TOUCHING! ahhh! You might be tempted to touch your face and pop that pimple… but DON’T! This is very bad for you!! It spreads dirt and oil all around your face! via L’Oréal Paris
and that’s NASTY
.

Drink plenty of water! I know you’re sick and tired of hearing that— but it’s true! If you don’t wanna overdoes on water- or you can’t handle it… try 3-4 cups a day! And track how much water you drink a day. To get yourself started… have a cup by your bed in the morning. You’ll be dehydrated from sleep and it’ll count as a cup! Then during breakfast have some water. During lunch, have some water… dinner… and right before bed, drink another cup of water! This will keep you hydrated and healthy!
-
Have a self care day. Having a self care day can help- or just be more relaxing than helpful. I recommend putting a nice face mask on while you sit in the tub with hot water and bubbles. Listening to your favorite song and chilling. Then you slip on some slippers and wash your facemask off. Pat the excess water off and sit down and watch some TV. I do these every weekend… and I love it so much. You can reflect on life whilst doing something nice to your face and body!
-
DON’T be harsh on your face! When you’re done washing your face… don’t aggressively dry your face. These is to rough and is damaging to your skin. So I recommend patting the water off!
So I hope you found this helpful!! Please tell my ways you keep your face clean! And remember you’re beautiful!

From the Beauty Professional:

I am a beauty professional, I use toners every day, I recommend toners to certain clients, but toners are not necessary for a daily skin care routine. Considering a lot of toners on the market right now are just water that smells good with maybe a dash of the actual ingredients the company puts on the bottle, they usually have no effect on the overall health of you skin.
For a basic daily regimen I would recommend a cleanser (30 to 60 seconds), a moisturizer (this can be a cream, serum, oil or a combination of two or more), and a really good sunscreen specifically for you face (Banana Boat may work for the rest of your body but face, neck and décolleté need something made for them).

Dude, no. Please do not buy random products in the hopes that one will work, you’re wasting your time, hope and money. Plus if you’re using multiple new products at a time and getting results you’re never gonna know which one is giving you those results. When buying skincare products you need to figure out your skin type and then consider individual skin needs, people who are acne prone generally look for products with a retinoid but depending on your skin type some retinoid products can be too harsh and ultimately damaging. You have to look at ingredients, reviews, consider your needs, do you research and be mindful of your purchases.

This isn’t wrong, exactly, but there is a proper technique to at home extraction and if you know what you’re doing it’s perfectly safe and sanitary to pop your own pimples, extract you own blackheads etc.
Skin care is tricky, it’s highly individual and having healthy skin is harder than going out and getting a face mask or a new serum or whatever, like every other aspect of health the most important factor is what you put into your body and how you go about protecting it. Develop healthy eating habits, drink at least drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day, it takes time and effort, always use sunscreen. Also avoid gimmicks, like do-nothing toners, facial brushes that no matter how soft can tear up you skin if not used sparingly (those Clarisonics and their various knock offs are a fucking menace), jade/rose quartz rollers can be stimulating to an extent but their only real benefits are as massage tools and you have to be very careful with them as they too can damage your skin.
