Mentioning characters names in choices?

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to mention character names in choices (Character names that the reader has typed in),

Did you try doing [NAME] or whatever you put in parentheses in the choice? If yes then I don’t think you can put character names that were typed in in choices, sorry if I’m wrong.

I’ve tried to do this before, but I haven’t found a way yet. Usually I just refer to the person I’m talking about another way. For ex I’m writing a story where you type in your roommate’s, so every time I mention her in a choice I just call her “your roommate” every single time lmfao

Variables like [NAME] won’t parse properly in choices, so you’ll need to rephrase the choice, as @Lizard noted above.
