The cheerleading team I’m in always volunteers at our local hospice on Sunday mornings This is like a care home for terminally ill people who are going to die basically and there was this one old lady who was super sweet and she said ”You remind me of sunshine, I’d almost forgotten what that was like.”

I will keep this short. But I was going through a real hard time. I believed no one cared about me, and no one would miss me if I was gone. It was too much for someone and they broke down and cried for me. Up to that point I never experienced someone caring so much that it hurts them to see me this way.

Needless to say, that and the words said to me that night, changed my life forever.
