Hello fellow Episodians,
Since March 2018 now, I’ve been a member within the Episode Community and as estimately a lot of you guys already know it’s quite hard to set a foot as an author due to several reasons. Some of these reasons might be directing, having the right idea, having an authentic dialogue and so and so on…
However, throughout these 2 years and 9 months my biggest struggles were none of the things mentioned above…
My greatest struggle has always been: MOTIVATION
-> Keeping myself motivated throughout the writing process has occured to be my greatest issue - And I’ve come across the belief that - perhaps - this issue can be overcome if we as an Episode Community come together and support one another. I’m not talking about “r4r” or “shoutouts” but rather about having some kind of writing group.
What is a “Writing Group” Zaen?
We’ll create a group on instagram with no more than 10 people. In this group we can share experiences, expand and talk about our story ideas, fix one another’s directing issues, proofread one another’s stories or scenes and most importantly MOTIVATE each other! Therefore, we create a schedule as a group in which we set a goal on how much we want to achieve within a week.
This method is supposed to help our “lazyselves” not to stop at having ideas but actually bringing them to life!
And along they way we can meet friends that share the same problems but also the same passion.
Although I do not intend to sound discriminatory towards anyone, I still think it’s important to work within an environment where the age gap is not too huge. That’s why for my own writing group I’m looking for people (of any gender) that are at least 18 years old or older!
However: This thread is meant to enable you to find people in order to create your own writing group, So: Do not feel excluded if you’re under 18 but rather consider this as an opportunity.
Extra Information: It does not matter if you have or have not published anything yet - that’s what the group is for: Ensuring that you actually do publish something in the end. Therefore, if you write to me you really need to be willing to do so - PLEASE do not consider this offer as something temporary!
