In my story, I’m trying to make a character round the stairs and climb them during narration. There’s a total of three separate places the character has to spot (the last of which is the top of the staircase– so two places she must spot before reaching the final spot at the top). I know using the & symbol allows for movement during narration and dialogue, but I can’t use it without everything going all at once… but I want the flow to be natural, if that makes sense
