Moving the camera while using dialogue

So I have seen plenty of stories where the camera is zooming in on a spot while the narrator is still talking but idk how to do that. When I zoom in on a character I have to wait till the zoom is finished before the character is able to begin speaking. But what if I want to have the character speaking while the camera is zooming in at the same time? How would I do that?

I think you do it like this:

& zoom on …
CHAR
Dialogue.

don’t forget the & sign before the zoom
