Multiple character spot template need help

Hey so I was wondering if I can have help with this spot placement. This is the day before a big game, so I’m having all the cheerleaders and football players on the field at once. It looks kinda bad and was wondering if i can have help with it.

If someone can help me come up with a better template that would be awesome
this is the code i have

[LONG TEXT WARNING]

First, I would split that entire “paragraph” into individual lines so it’s easier to organize and edit (using ‘&’ at the beginning of each line would make the following line happen at the same time):

&FEMALE1 spot 0.316 104 444 in zone 4 AND FEMALE1 moves to layer 1 AND FEMALE1 is rear
&FEMALE2 spot 0.425 74 393 in zone 4 AND FEMALE2 moves to layer 0 AND FEMALE2 faces left
&FEMALE3 spot 0.959 168 229 in zone 4 AND FEMALE3 moves to layer 2 AND FEMALE3 faces left
&FEMALE4 spot 0.574 221 344 in zone 4 AND FEMALE4 moves to layer -2 AND FEMALE4 faces right
&FEMALE5 spot 0.480 273 365 in zone 4 AND FEMALE5 moves to layer -3 AND FEMALE5 faces left
&FEMALE6 spot 0.606 245 307 in zone 4 AND FEMALE6 moves to layer 3 AND FEMALE6 is rear
&FEMALE7 spot 0.418 127 395 in zone 4 AND FEMALE7 moves to layer -4 AND FEMALE7 faces right
&FEMALE8 spot 0.449 163 388 in zone 4 AND FEMALE8 moves to layer -4 AND FEMALE8 faces left
&FEMALE9 spot 0.802 12 173 in zone 4 AND FEMALE9 moves to layer 3 AND FEMALE9 faces right
&MALE1 spot 0.606 86 297 in zone 4 AND MALE1 moves to layer 2 AND MALE1 faces right
&MALE2 spot 0.598 144 298 in zone 4 AND MALE2 moves to layer 0 AND MALE2 faces left
&MALE3 spot 0.661 115 258 in zone 4 AND MALE3 moves to layer 2 AND MALE3 is rear
&MALE4 spot 0.802 70 182 in zone 4 AND MALE4 moves to layer 3 AND MALE4 faces right
@MALE5 spot 0.896 43 125 in zone 4 AND MALE5 moves to layer 5 AND MALE5 faces left AND MALE5 is rear

I tested your code and Female3 seems to be a lot bigger than everyone else, is this intentional?

Next, consider these questions that can help you decide a good placement:

1. What are these characters doing?

Are they listening to someone, perhaps the coach? If so, are they standing in a specific formation (like a circle) or grouping (maybe cheerleaders on one side, and football players on the other)?
If they’re just mingling around, maybe waiting for the coach, then are they talking amongst themselves?

2. What are these people like? What are their relationships?

What are their personalities, and how do they treat others (specifically the people on this field)? If they’re not all listening to someone (like a coach) and they’re just mingling around with their friends, what are their relationships? Who’s friends with who? Does someone have a crush on someone else? Are any of them on bad terms?

3. Out of all these people, which characters are the most important to the story and/or recognizable to your readers?

Are there any characters that you want to spotlight or slightly emphasize?
If not, still consider moving the most recognizable people (even if they only appeared in the school hallway once in a previous scene, for example) in more visible places to give the school a more communal feel. I know there’s probably a lot of people in the school, but there’s bound to be overlapping circles.

Important: If a character is doing a specific animation that you want your readers to see, will the other characters in front block the reader’s view?

You can use specific animations and placement (distance between people) to show, or even slightly hint at the answers to the questions above. Even if they are all background/side/supporting characters without much importance to the plot, it’s still important to give them some backstories to avoid making them seem like flat, cookie-cutter characters.

Let me know the details to your scene (if you’re comfortable, that is) and I’ll try my best to help you out!

Looks great so far! Will they wear uniforms?

nah only because it’s still during school. The game is at night. this part only happens if the reader choices a wrong decision in the past. If the reader chooses it they wont be cheering at the game

Very interesting setup!
Good luck with your story, and feel free to ask if you need any more help in the future~

thanks. You don’t happen to have a template for a foot ball (American) game do you.

You mean like people running around, throwing the football, etc.? I don’t have one unfortunately… :pensive:

ok. Thanks though. I’ll figure it out.
