My overlays there.. But why can't I see it?!

Okie, so I’m writing, I’m typing, I’m excited.
I’ve got everything right but when I preview it I can’t see my overlay!!
This is what it looks like…

The dotted line is my overlay, but it’s INVISIBLE.
