My Rant: Episode ideas for Improvements

This is my Episode improvement rant. We will talk about a couple ideas episode can do to improve its stuff. Most importantly I NEED YOU to comment. I am in no way hating on episode. It’s a great platform with awesome ideas, but from a consumer perspective, they need to improve something.

  1. Double Standards, you’ve seen it, I’ve seen it. The drastic difference between communities episodes and their own writers. 1 the clothes, they have these awesome outfits for their writers, but int he general community it’s just eeehhh. There was an awesome idea to use diamonds to pay to use those clothes in our stories but, episode was like: “Thank you, NEXT!” Not to mention the storylines, has anyone seen “In My Bed”? IF you want to talk about abusive teenage relationships with graphic sexual references check that out. But if an author even says something such as

MC: I don't want to have *** at such a young age

The story is gone. Episode before you attack our writers, check your own. The amount of Sexual refrences in your story is terrible. (Once again not hating just suggesting.)

  1. We ask and ask and there’s nothing. There was a thread from episode about diversity standards, well Episode, in my opinion, hasn’t met it yet. They put a hijab on a random girl and call her Muslim, they have their gay characters in the story wear floral and “girly looks”. That’s a bit stereotypical, I know I said this in my last thread but, Episode has a little, nest to no hairstyles or clothes for other cultures or ethnicity. C’mon Episode, you can do better but, instead, you give us barista clothes only 1 min of screen time. Priorities Episode. I mean if you can make lace bra and panties for your writers you can improve your hijabs and other cultural outfits for your regulars.

  2. Empty Promises:

Episode's 2017 Diversity Standards Remeber that announcement thread? Episode it’s 2019 and you’ve made very little progress on your “goal”. Episode I was so excited when I saw this I was excited ready for some change. But disappointed once again. Instead of meeting your promise you threw at us barista clothes. Episode I don’t think we’re asking for much, just diversity. Please take that into consideraton.

Thanks for looking at my long rant! COMMMENT COMMENT COMMENT SHARE RETWEET. I want to bring this to everyone, I want episode to see that it could make some improvements that’ll make them better in the long run. I love Episode, I just want to see it grow and improve. At this point Episode is doing too much but not enough. They give us extra clothes and ignore the stuff need,

You’ve been summoned…

You are soooo right! The sad part is that featured stories get the most reads by kids. They should be setting an example!

I agree, I know underage kids can find them so fun to read and it’s sad because science shows that these stories have an effect on the children later in life. They might be reading “In My Bed” or teenage pregnacy stories and think its ok to have *** and its no big deal. But, it could really affect them!

Yes, and society is already pushing the narrative that this okay. These stories should at least mention the consequences that come with doing this (mainly infections and pregnancy) and at least promote protection.

Agreed. Children could have STDS or AIDS that could prevent them from having children or get them even worse, shorten their life spans. AT the VERY LEAST Episode should have a warning like “Teenage *** and pregnacy is not O.K. If you’re having promblems with this ask an adult.” Or “Always have protection and be on control and…” blah blah blah. It would put me more at ease

I think the reason stories that are cliche and (way too erotic) is because episode is trying to reach a completely different target audience (young teens, 12-15 though not to say that all people in that age group should be defined as completely below standard)

They aim to attract readers that are curious and (in my opinion) do so in the completely wrong way. It’s how they market their app, so disappointingly enough if the stories appeal to a larger part of the readers, then for the most part they won’t do anything.

I agree, but in my old school no one used episode. When episode came out with those erotic stories you know 13 year olds said? Wattpad is where you go to read porn, Episode is where you go to watch it. And it gives a bad name to Episode, having people title them as a “porn app.” They need to realize they’re marketing it wrong. They need to realize the consumers are the ones who make their bussiness run and go, and instead of trying to market to children, they should please the people who spend money on this stuff.

Not attacking episode but I had to chuckle at this because… lol what? BARISTA CLOTHES?

Yeah… thanks.

The coffee shirts, they said that would be more diversity standard in 2017 however, they gave us coffee shop stuff and barista aprons and things that we honestly don’t need.
