My Spot directing isn't working. PLEASE HELP

I’m trying to apply spot directing when my character enters the scene and it’s not applying to the character. The code is
@ELLA enters from left to screen left
@ELLA spot 1.181 70 33 in zone 2
@ELLA moves to layer 2
