SO as the title says i need a ballroom background
It need to be 1920 wide by 1136 tall (So 3 zones)
Preferably lots of gold on the walls
Also I will be editing things onto it so obviously you will need to give me permission to change it

If you’re changing stuff about the background, and want it to have lots of gold, then maybe use the one in the episode catalogue?
It’s very gold, and then you can just tweak it to match your story.
I had a look at it but I didn’t really like the once episodes had

Pretty sure I’ve seen this on Pinterest before, in which case it’s not safe for @Cat333 or anyone else to use as it is most likely copyrighted.
We’re not allowed to use Pinterest??
Most of the content on there is copyrighted. There would be some images there that wouldn’t be and would be safe to use but it’s very difficult if not, impossible to know which ones. So, unless you have permission from the original creator(s) it’s best to only use images that you’ve rendered yourself/other community background creators have rendered and allowed others to use or images taken from royalty free image websites such as Pexels, Pixabay, Unsplash etc.

Oh I had no idea, but what if the writers portal approves the background/overlay downloaded by Pinterest…would that affect my story being published/taken down in advance?

Episode doesn’t thoroughly check and sometimes they have no way of knowing, so even if they approve, you still don’t actually have permission to use it unless it’s from a copyright free source/royalty free because there wouldn’t be any legal issues there.
And no, it wouldn’t necessarily be taken down unless it was reported or Episode was more thorough with reviewing, but if the original creators saw it/copyright holders - there would be trouble because you’re not legally allowed to use it/them (worst case scenario), if the original creators didn’t see and Episode realized you had content in your story you didn’t have the rights to use, you may simply just be asked to remove it from the story (in a better case scenario) while the story is pulled from the app until the copyrighted content is gone, but it’s best to avoid any of that from the beginning even if the likelihood of the original creators seeing it is low or minute.

Nope, we aren’t allowed to use Pinterest or Google images, as was previously mentioned above, it’s incredibly hard to determine the original source of those images, and if they are copyrighted. Many of those sources are artists or companies.
Also, they will likely be approved as they are just images, unless watermarked episode has no way of determining where they came from. This is why you have to check that box when uploading, to say that you have the rights to use the image.
It is unlikely to effect your story being allowed on the app, however, should it be reported for using copyrighted images, then it would become an issue, and you are opening yourself up to possible legal consequences should it trace back to an original artist/company.

Yep. Bc using those bg’s without spending a lot on buying them, is illegal (: I recommend always checking the terms of service of a website before downloading since most things on Pinterest r copyrighted n r just for inspiration. When episode reviews ur story, they might ask u where u got ur bg’s from, if they’re copyrighted, then yes, ur story might b taken down
