This has been driving me crazy cuz it feels wrong still…
Im trying to match this skintone for anime style arts not ink or LL
So far the swatches I made seem okay on the surface then I second guess them…
Im not aiming for realism I just need basic skintone…like anime/manga style and a basic light/dark shade
(minimal layering of colors and technical aspects tht make it complicated to eventually lead me to this color…I want the BASE color for this gold 6 and basic shading/highlights if that makes sense)
I use this but it doesnt feel correct
And recently made a slightly darker variant
But havent made a shade pallete for it yet…
Which is dead on. I been working for a LONG time tryn to match…
Or are neither of them…if neither please help
Okay, so! The shades you picked for your light and dark shades are way off and are causing the pallet to look wrong. First of all, your darker shade is way too dark - I would recommend that shade to be used for the lineart. Secondly, your light shade is darker than your base skin color and would Uno reverse anything you try to highlight.
I recreated the pallet for you - I color picked the Gold 6 color straight from it’s source in the Edit Character page in the portal. I then color picked the light shade from the lightest area of your character and I did the same with the darker shade (without going all the way to the end of the lineart; because that would have been too dark and wouldn’t flow with the color pallet). I used her arm for this.
I hoped this helped! If you have anymore questions or need anything else - please let me know!
