I’m currently writing my story and I’m really having trouble on how I should introduce the main character. If anyone could help me out by giving me some ideas, that’d be great.
I think you should naturally introduce her as your story plays out. Personally, I don’t like when authors suddenly stop the story to explain the MC’s entire backstory. You can give us some information, but not all in one take.
hopefully this makes sense lol
Personally, I hate when authors stop in the first minute of the story and narrate the MC’s whole personality and backstory. I think that the most important phrase when talking about characters is “Show, not tell” . Use dialogue, actions and animations to describe your MC. Are they shy? Make them not wanting to speak out. Are they extremely popular? Have them get many messages in the morning. The list could go on and you can also do this to refer to things that happened in your MC’s past. As Episode is a visual platform, the sky’s the limit as for what you can tell through overlays and animations. You can also use bits of narration, but not too much. Also, make sure to do this all along the story, so that the reader relates to the MC and is interested in their character development, as that keeps them wanting for more episodes.
I hope I could help!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I was having some trouble on what I should do to introduce my characters, but you guys have definitely opened up my mind. Thank you!
Show her growing up, or her doing stuff with no dialouge.
