Need help in code!

I don’t know why but I’m not seeing clean loop with this:

EXT. BLUE - DAY with BEACH
&zoom on 0 0 to 100% in 0
@overlay BEACH shifts to -416 0 in zone 1 in 0
@overlay BEACH shifts to -217 0 in zone 1 in 1.0 THEN overlay BEACH shifts to -416 0 in zone 1 in 0 loop INFINITE times

Please help!

I’m not too experienced with looping backgrounds as I have yet to experiment with them.
But I know Dara-Amarie has a guide for this and her code looks different from what you have when she makes a looping background.

EXT. BLUE - DAY with LOOP_OVERLAY to 1.625 0 0 in zone 1 at layer -5
&overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 create from LOOP_OVERLAY and overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 opacity 1 in 0
&overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 scales to 1.625 1.625 in 0 and overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 and overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 to layer -6

She creates a copy of the overlay, so there’s 2 overlays while you just have the 1 overlay “Beach”

Check out her guide! I hope it can help, if not someone else feel free to help!

I tried that too but that didn’t work!

I think Dara Amarie’s code doesn’t fit my overlay(Beach)

It has to be three zones for Dara’s loop code to work.

My overlay has 3 zones

Does your background have three zones? You create the loop from your background and turn it into an overlay.

Here try this, put this in your code and run it see if it works

&overlay BEACH shifts to -640 0 in 8 THEN overlay BEACH shifts to -960 0 in 4 THEN overlay BEACH shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 THEN overlay BEACH shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 8 THEN overlay BEACH shifts to 0 0 in 4 THEN overlay BEACH shifts to 0 0 in 0 loop INFINITE times
&overlay BEACH_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 8 THEN overlay BEACH_2 shifts to 0 0 in 4 THEN overlay BEACH_2 shifts to 0 0 in 0 THEN overlay BEACH_2 shifts to -640 0 in 8 THEN overlay BEACH_2 shifts to -960 0 in 4 THEN overlay BEACH_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 loop INFINITE times

It has to replace the code you already have, if you don’t want to delete your code just put # in front of your code so it doesn’t run while you test out the above code. :see_no_evil:

Yes it has

Is your overlays the size 1183 x 700?

No it’s 1920*1936

In order, for dara’s looping code to work it has to be that size.

I also don’t think the background you’re using is three zones.
Here’s it resized to three zones
